I called CS yesterday morning to do some digging and was told that the car was at the dealer, but that we were likely looking at mid to late March now, rather than early March, so I was a bit disappointed. Fast forward to 3.30pm and an email dropped in to say handover dates had been shared in the portal, and I chose next Monday afternoon. So not much notice, and like you, I need to offload the wife’s BMW X3.
Whats the details on the X3!? we're after one as a family car.

Ha, I would advise against this one. It's just came back from the repair shop after my wife put the front of it into a wall rolleyes

Enjoy!

Seeing a few more on the road now so they are becoming more popular. When I had mine 12 months ago there were none about!

Still nowhere near as common as a Model 3 which appears to be the new 320d in my neck of the woods...

Yeah, I see a lot of Model 3s, only seen a handful of Polestar 2s ever, they're certainly quite rare where I live. Long may that continue!

Is anyone bothered by the lack of colour available on a number of cars? Tesla obviously, but also this polestar

The Ioniq 5 is another one I recently configured that had the same issue. All shades of grey.

And on the Polestar 2, took the only thing that looked like it had some colour (Midnight), then it didn't allow me any of the interior choices without changing the exterior colour rofl.
How are you guys getting on with this? I recon there's some bright colours it would look great in.

Probably best ordering it in a standard black and getting it wrapped? I have seen a couple on the forums that have done this.

Appreciate this isn’t the lease thread, but wondering if anyone car recommend EV leasing sites? And what realistically should I expect to pay per month?

I know people do it, but I've never thought leasing made much sense with the Polestar. It obviously depends on the spec you're happy with, but for me the Plus pack is a must, and as a £4000 option it really pushes up the lease costs.

yes

On a 3 year lease you'll pay at least 75% of the option cost over the term, so another £85 a month or so. Increases the monthly payment on a SM car by about 20%.

I wouldn't have taken a personal lease, but it can be worth leasing if you're using salary sacrifice.

Try a broker such as Gateway2Lease - they got me an excellent deal in Nov 2020; I'm not sure what the prices are like now.

If you are buying via a lease you are better off with a C40 or XC40 on the Volvo monthly thing which includes maintenance etc. probably which isn't available on a Polestar. They were some great deals when it first launched but they soon went...

The same spec as mine on my car scheme is £300pm to upgrade too now and I pay £90!

Is this their Subscription thing or something different?

Yes, it works out at £709 pm for 36 months for a Dual Motor XC40 Plus for 10k pa with no deposit and includes insurance and maintenance etc

A Polestar 2 appears to be £850 on a 1+36 for a maintained dual motor car online and that doesn't include insurance.

Still not an amazing deal I might add...

Oh, thats disappointing.

I was about to post about Volvo's being very dull colors too - but they have a track record of some quite shocking color combinations in the past! Mmmm, shame - Polestar, do better....

Ford Mustang Mach-e colors:

And BMW i4 - though not so sure on this color:

11 color options, though 4 are grey and 4 are black or white specifically.

What happened to green? I know you can get both the Mach-e and i4 in green, but its really a deep color that you are most likely not going to notice. I like green, though I think I prefer Portimao Blue the best.

The Taycan comes in a great green.

How come the Mach E is available in Polestar Blue but the Polestar isn't? hehe

That was my idea when I got my Polestar 2 in October 2020, but I didn't think a wrap would cost £3.5k+ VAT (best quote) so stuck with black.

yes Cost of a decent wrap often exceeds that of an optional colour on a car.
Plus, from what I gather you're lucky if they last 3 years on daily use.
