Looking at your car history I don't think you'll have an issue with the PP suspension. I haven't backed mine off yet to try but I think on fully soft they are softer than the standard dampers, so you've got plenty of range to work with.
Cheers yep the PP car felt like I hoped it would really, it was firm but you could feel the damping quality making it quite supple, it wasn't crashy or fidgety over small bumps and lumps like cheap firm suspension often is.

I'm about 6 months in with the performance pack suspension and have absolutely no regrets. It's firm but not crashy and is a joy to drive on a winding b road.

I wish my lease company would cover winter tyres though because the stock performance ones are awful in cold weather and since tyres are factored into my lease cost I refuse to buy them separately!

Yep I run Michelin CrossClimates as winter tyres on my M240i and they're much nicer than Pilot Sport summer tyres in lower temperatures and on a different planet when it snows. I'm not sure how often a secondhand set of 20" Polestar wheels will come up for sale though and when they do I suspect they'll be expensive so I might have to make do as well. I've seen a couple of posts on the Polestar forum of people fitting aftermarket 19" wheels as winters on PP cars, so not sure if the standard 19s would fit over the brakes or not?

Not possible unfortunately.

Shame although I guessed that was probably the case otherwise there'd be more people running them. The 18's on my 2 Series were relatively cheap and plentiful second hand but I think a spare set of 20" or even 19" Polestar wheels with suitable rubber will be quite pricy, even though they're somewhat of an investment as you end up wearing 2 sets of tyres at half the rate and can flog them on when you sell the car.

Can anyone with the updated MY24 single motor LR tell me what real world range they've been getting is?

I’m getting 31kWh/100 miles from mine doing motorway driving at the speed limit in the current freezing weather. Using heating, heated seats and wheel as needed. Not paying any particular effort to be efficient other than my normal attempts at smooth driving. This translates to a theoretical range of 264 miles. On the standard 19in wheels.

I expect it to easily get over 300 miles in summer based on this.

Thank you for the reply,
my C40 dual motor gets 180-200 in winter, 220-240 in summer.
May make the switch to a single motor LR but in polestar flavour and the range sounds far more promising

We've got a fair bit of snow this week, I've been impressed how well the P2 just handles it, even only being a FWD model and on summer tyres. Just seems to get on with it, no fuss, very reassuring.

One thing I have found, not sure if it is related to the weather, the last couple of days I've been unable to open the driver's door from the outside handle. All other doors are fine but to get the driver's door open I've had to reach in from another door and pull the inside handle. Anyone else found this and if so, is there a fix?

Weirdly mine did that this morning too. Unlocked by touching the inside of the driver’s door handle and hear the locks clunks but it wouldn’t open. Opened the back door and pulled the front door release from inside and it opened fine, same as you.

I saw someone mention the same on Facebook this morning, but I guess that could have been you smile

Not had the door issue, but the alarm on mine frequently goes off in cold weather. It was -8°C here last night and it was going off every 10 mins until I eventually just left it unlocked on the drive.

In other Polestar related news, it sounds like Helvetia, who were taking care of extended warranties, has pulled out of the deal.

Polestar EV UK
Polestar 2 Owners UK
Polestar Facebook Community
Polestar 2 Owners
Polestar 2 Owners Club

Probably should sack off the last two as they’re global groups. Polestar Facebook Community is the one run by Polestar themselves.

There is also Polestar Drivers Club UK which only allows verified Polestar owners but also has various meets if that is your thing and has several sponsors with very good discounts to members.

The last one I can think of is Polestar Mods which is another global group but with a focus on modifications to the car. Handy if you fancied checking wheel fitments etc

Ah I see, wow! I'm in Scottish Polestar Enthusiasts, nice bunch but not a lot of traffic in there really.

Anyone considering moving to the Polestar 4? Think it's just too expensive for me considering the alternatives at that price point or cheaper.

UK configurator is now live

70K for the same spec as the Polestar 2, not a chance.

£63k for an LRSM Pilot/Plus with paint against £56k for a Polestar 2 LRSM Pilot/Plus with paint. Doesn’t seem an unreasonable difference for the next size up car. The 4 gets the Plus pack included which is a £4000 option on the 2.

Personally not a fan. Don’t like the style of the front end, I prefer the more blocky Volvo look. And not convinced on the lack of rear window. I’ve tried using rear cameras for driving and can’t get on with them.

Same spec as the P2?

A first glance the P2 is missing the following
- A Head Up Display
- Larger infotainment screen
- The P4 has 120bhp more than the P2
- Much improved ambient lighting
- Electric reclining rear seats
- Rear control display
- 22 kW AC charging
- More rear leg room (A 30cm longer wheel base)
- An overall more premium interior
- Faster DC charging

-> P2 DM LR with Plus Pack : £57k
-> P4 DM LR with Plus Pack : £64k

The extra stuff on the P4 seems worth it to me smile
