70K for the same spec as the Polestar 2, not a chance.
Same spec as the P2?

A first glance the P2 is missing the following
- A Head Up Display
- Larger infotainment screen
- The P4 has 120bhp more than the P2
- Much improved ambient lighting
- Electric reclining rear seats
- Rear control display
- 22 kW AC charging
- More rear leg room (A 30cm longer wheel base)
- An overall more premium interior
- Faster DC charging

-> P2 DM LR with Plus Pack : £57k
-> P4 DM LR with Plus Pack : £64k

The extra stuff on the P4 seems worth it to me smile

I was looking at it from a point of view with mine in mind, with plus (included), pilot and paint, it comes in at £69,740

While it is a bigger car, the rest of the stuff I have no interest in tbh, the 22kW charger, could be handy TBF.

I actually think the Polestar 4 looks better value than the Polestar 2 as it seems to move the game on quite significantly, for only a relatively minimal extra outlay in cash. The architecture underneath differs significantly as opposed to borrowing the platform from the old ICE XC40.

I'll be interested to see what the interior is like as that was probably my main disappointment with the Polestar 2. I sat in a Polestar 3 last year and it seemed a big step forward in that regard, so hopefully the 4 is the same

Looking at potential used EV purchases and came across this.

2 years/20k miles for £5k down and £131 a month. That's a lot of car for that money.

It may have the extra year's PS warranty on as well. For 40 quid a month more than my Virgin Media subscription, it's tempting to get another as a backup!

Stuck a full set of Continental All Season tyres on mine just over three weeks ago. Thought I might see some effect on efficiency and noise levels, but thankfully after 500-odd miles that seems negligible. Cost was fairly reasonable too, coming in at £788 including fitting (20" tyres).

If it's under 3 years old you can also extend the warranty for 3 more years for just over a grand. Apparently if it does have the extra 4th year you still need to extend the warranty with Polestar before it's 3 years old to be eligible, I'm not sure what then happens whether you effectively get 7 years in total or you lose the free year (which seems unfair).

Also spotted this earlier. The top car has the optional £5k performance package that apparently has zero residual value..

Someone is going to get a real bargain there.
