The E-Niro does very well in the recent Carwow test against other EVs.

Really, it was the true winner of the test in my opinion.

Yes disappointing the 62KWh Leaf is not as good and £5K more. Annoying for me where I live Wessex Bristol represent both Nissan and Kia so presumably little chance of using the Kia to get a better deal on the Leaf.

Nissan report the whole pack size including any safety amount whee I think Kia dont and far more of its 64kwh is usable.

Plus the pack is not heated/cooled so wont have been at its most efficient.

Shame nissan have not updated the leaf to modern pack design

the main advantage of the leaf is you could probably buy one and actually have it.

Wife and I test drove e-Niro today, very impressed.

34k for delivery in the summer, perhaps sooner. But for that amount of cash, I'm close to the M3 that I'd prefer. Maybe I can run an e-Niro until the MY is available, that's a better body shape for our needs, a boot with a lip is a pain in the arse for loading my gear.

It's a shame they don't offer the shorter range eNiro in the UK really. It would probably come in under £30k which would look considerably more favourable compared to the short-range Model-3 for those who don't need the bigger battery.

Came back on our company scheme on Friday and I have placed an order.

Was warned that in can take up to 8 months to be delivered, which is ok as my current car isn’t due back until then.

Due to BIK, getting the Niro is a no brainer. Was looking at a 330e, but the Niro will save me about £200 a month,

My dealer, who’s been quite good so far, called me this week to say the car may be here sooner than they thought, maybe June. That’s from November so about the same as you.

Doesn’t seem 6 months since I posted that!

Well, as expected, car with dealer next week, with us by end of month latest, probably well before then.

Hopefully charger done before arrival but will be soon after if not.

So, about 8 month lead time all in, as promised originally.

Any idea what the projected waiting time is if one were to order now?

Right now? I think there’s a chance of one in a month or two if not weeks.

I’ve been told there have been a number of cancellations due to CV. Not enough to give a discount but have been quite good on our trade in.

My local dealer has just quoted me 7 months across all 3 latest versions (2, 3 and 4+).

Picked up my wife’s E Niro this morning. We’ve only done the 20 mile drive home so far, range fell from 272 to 258 even with regen on 0.

Seems much better than the 1st edition we had for a couple of days in February. Rides better, less tyre noise. This has Michelins, not sure what was on test car. A much better dash in both finish and layout.

Quite impressed by build quality. Not a panel gap out of place, paint looks very good and car feels very solid and well screwed together.

Might not do 0-60 in .5 of a second but it’ll do everything we need it to.

I even got £500 off it.......

Just posted same on one of the Tesla threads where I’m probably receiving much abuse even as I type........ wink

Its a shame some of it isnt quite as up to date as the drivetrain (still old bulbs etc) and the kona has the HUD etc but all round I dont see why youd buy a kona over this.

I've just ordered the Kona 64kwh Premium SE (10.5kw ac) for my wife to join my M3P. The main reason we chose the Kona over the eNiro is that there is large stock of them already in the UK and so there is no waiting list (I also prefer the front end looks).

We looked at the Kona, didn’t much think about the front view, neither are great lookers really, but we thought the interior of the updated Niro was much better and that’s what we're looking at most of the time.

That and the extra space did it for us.

As it happens, waiting 8 months for it wasn’t too bad, given the lockdown and the fact that we don’t get too excited about new cars any more, but if you can’t wait the Kona will do the job.

Having said that, I understand a few dealers have cancellations for the Niro at the moment.

Then again December onwards it will be the 4+ with sunroof and heated rear seats, albeit fir another £1500 or so.

Maybe, but after you’ve had the cars we’ve had over the years you do realise it’s all a bit ‘myth of fingerprints’.

I need to get a charger installed for mine, no rush as not doing many miles at the moment due to WFH.

Thinking about a Pod Point for no other reason than it's the cheapest. Anyone any experience of them?
