The Taycan CT is the car I wish to replace our Leaf with in a couple of years, so hopefully the prices of our rip-off merchants will be more competitive by then...
My company are looking to introduce this in the new year.
The prices I have seen on SS are more than I have seen on personal contract for EVs.
Having said that, my current mileage is low, and I can't make the numbers work for either!
But will certainly keep reviewing over the next few years.

Test drove an M50 earlier (I have one on order).
Lovely thing.
Was worried about the instant torque and an urge to drive fast everywhere but even in Sportboost mode it was happy to toddle along in town. Very quiet and supple ride (in sportboost) compared to my current Audi.
Absolutely addictive turn of speed. Only managed a few squirts of acceleration but absolutely rapid.
The countdown begins!

Nice to hear.
I am always wary of journo reviews. They have higher expectations than us plebs using these for daily activities. Activities that have more to do with a car being a nice place to be, than whether it will attack a B-road like a Caterham.

Helpful thread this.
I’m now reevaluating my salary sacrifice order via Tusker. It’s still cheaper than a personal lease, but it’s not particularly compelling.
Tesla Model Y
Pearlescent Multi-Coat Red paint
48 months
15k miles per annum
40% at £700 monthly net amount
Tempted to can my order and buy and old C63

I have just found this car, without even looking very hard, at 811 per month maintained at that mileage.
Now the salary sacrifice means it is insured too, so assume 1k a year insurance (because Tesla), your equivalent net price is around 620 a month. So it's a useful saving.
It does mean that the salary sacrifice company is getting around 1,160 month gross though, right? I'd hope that over time, such margin will see some competition coming in...
Or am I doing the calcs all wrong?

Depends on your deal / location / company being used Harry
At the weekend I signed up to our Co scheme. Run by OctopusEV:
Tesla Y - blue, white interior
10,000 mi, 36 months. Full maintenance, full insurance and charger supplied / fitted.
They take £397.40 a month out of my take home.

Octopus seem much cheaper than Tusker. Sadly our company chose the latter. Tesla would be my preference on one of these schemes as a) better deal on insurance and b) a better proper family car replacement due to the Supercharger network.
I did just think of buying an oldersecond hand Model S, but the bork factor worries me a bit.

You’re spot on, and it’s a massive first world problem, but although the savings are there, it’s just not quite what I was hoping. Seems like Tusker are a fair bit more expensive compared to the likes of Octopus. One of the potential benefits I can see if that you’re free to walk away if you leave the company.

We are actually with Zenith.
And a Model Y LR for me and wife to drive, 14000 miles starts at 720 a month.
That is no deal whatsoever.
It’s not much more than Tusker, albeit with less (14k vs 15k) miles, but to your earlier post, it’s still cheaper than a personal lease by a fair bit. And a Model Y LR for me and wife to drive, 14000 miles starts at 720 a month.
That is no deal whatsoever.

NHS offers it, I'm told the deals on some of the options are fairly poor, but have not looked in detail. I believe they also offer fre charging for employees.
The NHS scheme is by far the cheapest out there, as the VAT is treated differently to regular businesses I believe. About 25% cheaper than my Tusker scheme, which seems pretty good to meGassing Station | EV and Alternative Fuels | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
