Its an opinion from an actual owner on a car the op is thinking about buying, does it matter? Well, i guess the op can ignore it if he likes makes no difference i guess
Maybe if you provide some useful info the OP has asked about like boot space??Whats with EV owners? Never even seen Porsche owners get so aggressive so quickly!
Like I said, I can’t offer boot space advice, we don’t use the cars boot.
You’re a strange chap fella, I shan’t be answering you anymore, weirdo.
Sorry for that OP

Sadly, it doesn't have the range I need so if I do get an EV in the next year it'll probably be a Model 3 LR AWD.
Wow, how many miles are you doing in a day? Say you do 500 miles a day, which is 8 hours on the road in good conditions, a Model 3 LR AWD will save you about 20 minutes of charging time. To save 20 minutes you get a much smaller, noisier, less comfortable, more expensive (on lease) car.The Model 3 LR only really makes sense if you regularly do between 250 and 300 miles in one session. Is that you?
I used the better route planner website to map my journey during summer and winter.
In winter, with rain, and at 5 degrees, if I added in a small headwind, the Jag needed almost 2 hours of en route charging, even on a good day it's an hour and a half, assuming all the chargers work as designed.
The Model 3 can do it with one 23 minute stop on a good day, or in an absolute worst case scenario, two supercharger sessions totalling about 40 minutes. The supercharger network, coupled with a good battery makes a huge difference.

Far far better than tesla, but tesla have their charge network which is a biggy to many people.
This statement is based on your extensive Tesla ownership experience I assume? And which Tesla are you comparing it to BTW?Not knocking the I-Pace just to be clear, it's a lovely thing and was very temepted to get one myself earlier this year, but without having driven a comparable Tesla over a similar period statements like yours above are a bit silly?

Ipace is a better car imo, better built, better value, nicer interior.
Tesla wins customers mainly with their charge network imo.
making assumptions is a bit silly though

If it wasn't for the range issue (or lack of Ionity rapid chargers on the M1 corridor which would solve that problem), the iPace would be top of my list.

As a previous Jaguar owner I really wanted to make the i pace work, so I had one for a day.
200 miles is it's real range. And that's what I often do in a day, it's just too close for comfort.
200 miles might be real range in the summer, but in the winter it is less. At the moment I'm getting nearer 170 / 180. 200 miles is it's real range. And that's what I often do in a day, it's just too close for comfort.
I got my i pace knowing that I wouldn't have to drive it on every trip as I have access to a few ICE cars , but the thing is so dam good to drive and be in that I want to drive it all the time ....
I never understand the boot size issue - just take enough to fill the boot , leave the rest at home . Simples .
I have ( older lol ) friends who talk fondly of going on holiday round France , family of 4 , in a 2 door mark 1 escort ...

Yep, that's EV's for you though. ICE feels archaic once you've driven EV for a while IMHO.I never understand the boot size issue - just take enough to fill the boot , leave the rest at home . Simples .

Assuming you have small kids a decent boot can be a prerequisite for modern pushchairs/prams/buggies is I think the issue.

When my wife was expecting littl'un number 1 we bought the pushchair early and went round a few showrooms and tested putting it in the boot. Don't see a problem doing the same with suitcases if that's the potential sticking point Assuming you have small kids a decent boot can be a prerequisite for modern pushchairs/prams/buggies is I think the issue.

I've stood and stared at the boot space for while. Find it hard to visualise, short of turning up with a bunch of suitcases.
If I can do it with my longsword, I'm sure you can do it with some cases. It fits, by the way...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnSoU5j5GC8
656 litres is a big boot by most standards. Seemed like most full-size estate boots, although without the height all the way to the back because of the sloping rear screen.
It's more boot space (by litres at least) than the XC60.
If I could have one for about £300pm I'd be all over that, even a base spec one.

I guess it depends on the mileage allowance, up-front payment, and whether it's including VAT. But still sounds like a good price. We get access to Tusker salary leasing next week, I'm eagerly anticipating having a look around the deals on offer

I love the thought of you taking that sword in to try the boot space . Did it help with subsequent price negotiations ? SWoll said:
Quite why he couldn't just take a tape measure with him has always been beyond me. Not like it's an awkward shape other than the length?
I've tried this a few times now. The sword is a solid object that doesn't really bend much, so you have to be sure it'll fit properly. Sometimes the floor looks big enough, but it doesn't actually fit when you try to close the tailgate. The XC40 failed the test.Witchfinder said:
