I'm surprised that this car is so inefficient. I know it's big but unless you were accelerating really hard that's pretty poor.
Getting into Audi territory in fact.
AFIk its all down to aero, at low speeds its not too bad (comparable to model X) but at higher speeds it just has too much drag.Getting into Audi territory in fact.
Info on the range update https://arstechnica.com/cars/2019/12/jaguar-increa...
They had the ability to do it because of the Formula E support race series and, if I'm reading it right, allowing more of the battery capacity to be usable for driving...
"The battery is rated at a nominal capacity of 90kWh but until this update has only had a useable capacity of 84.7kWh."
It's a dealer job but it will open up OTA for future updates. The range increase is up to 12 miles more.

If I buy one it’ll be the HSE.
I just read in the Autocar review that Apple CarPlay only works if the if the phone is plugged into the ‘storage box under the armrest rather than the USB ports in the centre console’. I don’t know what that means? I’d like to be able to use the iPhone charging dock plugged in at the cup holder. Does that work with CarPlay so I can use Waze?

Mines always plugged into the armrest so couldnt say, ours is the HSE mainly because of the air suspension (but std matrix lights were a good bonus to) as we have an XJ to and we wanted the best ride possible. I cant imagine it without air as the ride for me is only ‘ok’ but still falls short on the XJ, it rides about the same as Maseratis skyhook in soft if you have experience of that.I just read in the Autocar review that Apple CarPlay only works if the if the phone is plugged into the ‘storage box under the armrest rather than the USB ports in the centre console’. It is in no way a luxury soft ride like larger luxo cars but better than m-sport, s-line set ups for ride quality.
Cooled seats were another must have for us living in a hot country and they work well as does the heated side, seats themselves are not as comfortable as the XJ either, good but not soft enough for my liking.

The manual says "Portable media devices can be connected to the media hub, located in the centre console's cubby box."I just read in the Autocar review that Apple CarPlay only works if the if the phone is plugged into the ‘storage box under the armrest rather than the USB ports in the centre console’. This is where i connect my android phone so i can control it through the car. Ive also connected USB sticks with music files on it.
I think all other USB connectors are purely for supplying power to USB devices.
I either put my phone into the storage/cubby box or bring he lead out of this area and put my phone on the cupholder cover.
I borrowed an i Pace today to make sure it fitted into my garage. No problem there, I’ve now asked the dealers to quote for the spec below. Have I missed anything I need on the spec?
