I won’t be towing, the tow bar is for the bike rack.

Why do I want air suspension? I don’t intend taking the car off-road.
I'm hoping to order a very similar spec for April delivery, but going with Photon Red

Agree with not needing air suspension with the 20" wheel option, seems to be the general feeling. More popular with the 22s

Personally I prefer the black exterior pack to remove the chrome and black wheels, but that's just preference.

You don't need the tow bar for the Jaguar bike rack, that slots into the bumper mounts, as per the video on the Jag builder site.

On price, I've been offered around 10.5% off list via CarWow at various times (although currently sits at 9.6%)

There's an active I-Pace UK owners group on FB if you've not already joined.

Thanks for that. You’re right about the bike rack, that’s all I need.

One dealer has responded and said the CarWow discount includes the £3500 OLEV discount and they’re offering 5.1%. We’ll see what else comes up.

Out of interest, how does the etron compare to the i-pace on first impressions? Range similar?
Chalk and cheese . So different you wouldn’t believe . Both really good but obviously completely different target markets .
I think the etron is around 30% thirstier .

I did 310 miles in the ipace today . Started with 248 miles range drove 155 miles and was down to 40 left . Driving like miss daisy . 3degrees c . Filled up for an hour and a half , 200 range , did 140 , 20 left . Using the performance , 8 degrees c . Think in the summer range will work for me . But I probably drive the old m3 convertible then .......

I have 20s on my iPace and wish I had gone for air suspension - but the (country) roads round here are pretty bumpy.

The hse has electronic adaptive air suspension (different to s & se) and rides as well as the etron I went in, it’s good but they could have done better as proven by the XJ (and even that is not Mercs ‘magic ride’ level) but with the iPaces weight it could have been vert good.

I guess they were restricted time wise to get it to market, they did bloody well imo

I have an hse . Ride on ipace is very good and handling superb . Etron ride I think is much “softer “ .

Likewise but I guess its all relative, its good but not very good smile (unless youre comparing to a mini)

we have an XJ as well and its nowhere not as good as that which is a fair comparison seeing as its a jaguar

Wow! I've read elsewhere from etron users that VAG are quite conservative on range and the quoted 204 miles is actually very realistic in real world conditions (unlike some other EVs where range can drop dramatically ~50% from the headline figure)...

ps - sorry for hijacking the thread on i-pace range. The reasoning is the Mrs loves the etron, me the i-pace hence why the comp between the two is very interesting. For an easy life, I fear the Mrs will still win smile

Bear in mid that the "turd" is very much a Gen 1 car - if you can wait much better things will be along shortly

If you want to choose between the 2 now bear in mind that Audi charges much much faster (at a higher rate as well)

You're not doing many miles. Are you doing lots of very short journeys from cold?

Did 200 miles last week. So it really does vary. The 4 weeks before that it probably did <50.

Has anyone fitted a dash cam to one of these? I like having a dash cam but just thinking that in a car park it could deplete the battery.
