Was the car doing the driving?

Autopilot type features relieve the driver of alot of work and contribute to alot of safety.
I was mostly using tacc and trying autopilot.

Statistically 8 times safer than average. #HashtagBS

Tesla were deploying mobile supercharger stations, but clearly they weren't enough...
They deployed a development system the first 2 days (a megapack and 12? superchargers on the back of a lorry) but for some reason the day in question they didnt

That site has ~40 superchargers and half are V3 capable of 250kw.

Except for the "charismatic" CEO who markets the system as "full self driving" and has repeatedly encouraged no hands on the wheel in any number of media demonstrations.

again utter bks. FSD is a separate product entirely, every owner knows this.

Pretty grim, apparently half the 40 stalls were already upgraded to 'V3' SC but the demand was so high so people were barely pulling 40KW let alone anything close to 200KW+.

The future of long distance EV travel, great isn't it frown.
Yes expanding the site may not help much - just get the cars off the road, what it really needs is a stronger grid connection. So all 20 stalls can do 200kW at once, certainly much more than 40.

Expanding the site is fine they'll just put some storage in also to work as a buffer.

Except Tesla, or Musk, have never marketed FSD as an existing product, it's always been a future capability.

So back to square one, people are idiots. People drive cars poorly. Cars are (mostly) inanimate objects that (mostly) follow the instructions provided by (mostly) intelligent drivers.

This is a genuine question to Rob. Are you paid or recompensed in some way to act as a Tesla shill?

A lot of the ridiculous use of Autopilot stems from people actually believing figures like that. Again, plenty more company officer liability where that came from.

When market conditions change, consumer psychology and regulator incentives change with them.

Indeed, it boggles the mind why people here are so terrified of electric, self driving cars.

It's hugely irrational.

not when you remember Pistonheads is populated entirely by powerfully built company execs who are driving gods and own oil companies.

But that has nothing to do with the graph. GM are spending 5 times the amount Tesla does, Tesla are not at the forefront of autonomous driving they are at the back as that graph shows. GMs delays doesn't effect the current standing.

i think no one is at the forefront until they have a publicly available product. No idea h they judge this because that article you linked to was months before GM delaying their product.

Spending money doesnt mean results. See Uber.
