Nope.

Your average person on the street doesn't know Tesla still. They don't advertise on radio, TV,media, print or digital.
The link that you posted said 80% of people have heard of Tesla.

Edit: I'm on mobile, and indeed it does when you switch to desktops version

You can't read. You posted a link and said it said something else. It clearly did not say the general population.

That makes you what you called me...

Indeed, the best is people making up things and then trying to find internet links to the things they just made up.

The BIK rates was the best one that I've seen as that was entirely based on facts yet some on here kep trying to make it that a hybrid and an EV had the same BIK rate next year!

This is a car forum at the end of the day and not an astrophysics forum so you'd expect most people to be pretty backwards but that took me by surprise!

The stats I posted are general population.

You said average person isn't aware of Tesla, but the yougov poll you posted states 80% of population are aware of the brand.

My understanding is that the BIK change were meant to have been rubber stamped in the nov budget. The November budget was then cancelled due to the election.

So as things stand, the 'fact' is that the BIK changes are not in place.

Now if I am wrong then fair enough, but the article below is from this month. Please can you advise me if incorrect?

Sorry, didn't realise you posted a second link below (https://evannex.com/blogs/news/global-survey-finds-tesla-by-far-the-most-familiar-electric-vehicle-brand)

Just read it, it says "When asked which brands offered all-electric cars, 29% of Dalia’s respondents named Tesla. This is perhaps not surprising, but it is certainly interesting in light of the fact that Tesla does no traditional advertising for its vehicles whatsoever."

So according to your link less than 1/3rd know Tesla, it's good for you that I posted a link saying its higher in the UK biggrin

Further to the above, I have looked at the HMRC site, and they appear to do not provide anything after 2019/20.

I await your response.

You read something that said 29% knew Tesla and came to the conclusion that this meant that the average person did know.

Debating with someone at the level you are at today isn't fun at all.

The grasping at straws in this thread about how Tesla will fail is pure comedy.

The bigger picture: Record sales, record share price, record deliveries, still can't meet demand, billions in the bank.

I know this is a religious war, so everyone is assumed to be on a 'side', but "billions in the bank"?? Whose billions, and which bank???

Yes, but what is driving it?

Firstly appears its a market trend, as the Nasdaq index itself is at an all time high. (Don't things traditionally get silly at this time of year) And I can't find any *new* information to support a sudden Tesla rise.

Secondly, for YTD you would have been better off buying Index. Less volatile (to put it mildly hehe), and higher returns:

Lastly Tesla came 4th today in best performers on the Nasdaq index constituents. And not much different between Tesla and the next ones down neither. https://www.barchart.com/stocks/indices/nasdaq/nas...

Anyone actually know if this is more than the traditional Christmas Rally.

It can't possibly be being driven by the fact they are about to have a record quarter yet again then?

Don't worry Hyphen I'm sure that Tesla killer from BMW/VW/Toyota will be launched soon.... real soon...

The ID3 right? Top VW quality, they know how to make cars! Oh... https://electrek.co/2019/12/19/volkswagen-id3-has-...
