I do have one question though - is the light bar on the front supposed to be on in the day? It doesn't appear to be on in mine. Also, should there be an a cover for the electrics under the bonnet? Mine has no cover...
According to google it should look like this. No frunk space (not sure how) but definitely covered.Cheers SWoll!
Feed back from the dealer on the cover: With regards to the engine cover, this was removed from November 2020 production onwards, and as your EQC was built in March 2021 this means that it wasn’t provided with an engine cover – this is due to an extra coolant pipe being implemented from November and we were advised as a dealer not to retrofit this.
To be honest they could have put a small frunk in. There would be space for a well about 15cm deep at the back (windscreen) sloping to about 20cm at the front and about 40/50cm across, would be able to stash the charging cable in easily. I suspect they didn't as the bonnet release catch isn't the most accesable and they'd have need to move it. I'm tempted to see if I can find somewhere to make one up though.

I've found ours comes in very handy, especially for anything dirty/wet or if you need to reverse into a tight space and come back to the car with a couple of bags.To be honest they could have put a small frunk in. Disappointing that it's not under the large centre cover with the MB badge on it in the EQC. Would have been a nice touch.

Next question - Mercedes Me Charge, anyone using it? Where is included in it? What's the charge after the first year?
I found the card in the glove box but very little info on it or the pricing that it no doubt carry...
I think you need to register the card through the "Mercedes Me" app (android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.... )I found the card in the glove box but very little info on it or the pricing that it no doubt carry...
There you can link up a payment method and see available charge points.
Depending on your use, I'd look for a card that has no monthly fees, you probably have a tad higher price/kwh, but chances are you only need it a couple times/year.
I don't know the costs on the Mercedes card tbh.

activating Merc Me also enables all the datalogging of everthing the viehcle does incl location and speed back to merc HQ, they can even use it to disable the car and tell the collectors were to pick it up if you default on payments
If work start missing the payments I have some bigger issues to worry about!I've just signed up for Mercedes me Charge, after having bought an EQV. It looks to be a way to start a charge using their card, the app, or your MBUX in-car system, at multiple charge providers, and then receive a single bill for all of your usage.
I haven't properly used it yet, but using the Mercedes me phone app, you can search for charge stations. So far I've found 95% are BP Pulse chargers, plus Instavolt, Ionity and New Motion. The app tries to show you a price, but its very hit and miss. Ionity at MK shows as 70p/kWh and BP Pulse 18p/kWh, which I think are the standard prices. Instavolt however shows as 40p, which is higher than the 35p that you pay direct.
There's also a separate Mercedes me Charge subscription available at £164/year to get a discounted Ionity charge rate - 29p instead of 70p. I thought buyers of cars who are invested in Ionity got this for free - wasn't expecting to need to pay. I'm not sure if the same is true for EQC owners.

In fairness, that's not significantly out of line with Tesla Superchargers at 24p/kWh, albeit there are dozens of them dotted around the UK in strategic locations and I think Ionity still only have a handful of sites.Blue Oval84 said:

I think he was pointing out that you have to pay an extra subscription, rather than it being included (as per Tesla).ZesPak said:

How’s everyone getting on with their EQC’s now the weather has warmed up slightly? Wife has a PP plus that’s just coming up to 6 months old. Winter range was about 180miles now around 230miles driving normally left in D auto mode.
Impressed with it so far, 4500miles in. Only nice thing missing is soft close doors, had these on previous FFRR and got used to them.
1st full electric car, don’t think they are worth £75k but from a tax perspective, it suits our needs as a simple family bus nicely 👍

Nice to see more of these being driving around - I was briefly in a Brilliant Blue EQC convoy of two the other day
Definitely seeing my predicted mileage moving up the scale to something starting with a 2 as temps warm up. I'm using D Auto a lot more these days as it does seem much more efficient than me using the paddles myself / just leaving it in D.
In terms of the motorway network charging - expect that to improve dramatically now Gridserve have bought the 'highway' network from Ecotricity.

D Auto? How you get that? I have D--, D-, D, D+...Charged it for the first time in two weeks yesterday and the range just crept over 200 (202), so it's picking up!
