I’ve ordered a pod point as well. I saw the eo mini but didn’t like the look of tethered version.

Podpoint so far (just going through the order process) seem to know what they are talking about. I tried to get a chargedev charger a few months a go but they wanted to change my fuse box etc, pod point have said they can come off the meter so makes like easier

My octopus referral of anyone wants to use it

Cheers, do you have one of them? I’m thinking of not getting a tethered one, so I don’t have to fanny around with changing anything, if the next car has a different charger. I will probably leave the wire plugged in throughout the week and maybe stick it back in the car in a weekend.

Anyone got theirs yet?
I've been told today the earliest I can get mine is the 20th which is a bit of a piss take for a car that was registered on the 31st Jan. Shouldve been this week with ease for a stock car.
Oh, I haven’t chased them recently. I’ll call them tomorrow and ask for an update

Not having a tethered one means you have to "dick" around putting your cable in every time though.
Most cars will be type 2 for a while I think, happy to be corrected. Unless you buy something that's older of course.

My thought process is that I won’t ever really need to keep the cable in the car, so I will just leave it attached to the wall.

Remember they’re very expensive. I’d be worried about it getting pinched.

ETA. Just checked and they’re not that expensive any more. Ignore me.

You had some ¦ instead of | in places, and there were some spurious tabs to remove.

No, I managed to get a Rolec untethered 7kWh for £125 fitted last April, before they started insisting on smart charger for the grant.

UK Power Networks coming out at the end of the month to upgrade the main fuse, organised by the OVO V2G trial thingy after the survey

Mines a factory order though, so not in a particular hurry, although the process seems pretty efficient so far

Exactly what I wanted - thanks!

I couldn't screenshot the spreadsheet because where I work doesn't let me upload anything to external websites and I did the spreadsheet at work!

I guess you could if you were using fast chargers only outside of home.
I need to take mine with me to work to charge there.

The article I posted above about salary sacrifice might make a very big difference to what a lease cost people in the same tax bracket as me, if we can convince our employers to join a scheme.
However it will also probably mean not enough charge points at work, we only have 6 available in the car park at the moment, bookable as 3 hour slots.
I can imagine plenty of people jumping on the EV bandwagon if they are paying 40% less than a lease is now!

My N-connecta was delivered this morning (ordered via James at EVC on 22nd Jan).

Wasn't best pleased it comes without mats (the driver had tried his best but it still had mud in the carpet already). James said the dealer categorically will not supply them. Would have been nice to know that prior to delivery really mad

The good:
- Exterior looks great (imo) and the interior certainly has a premium feel.
- Plenty of space, even with a large child seat behind the passenger & boot is reasonable
-The drive is exceptional, instant power delivery is great. The E-pedal became second nature within 5 minutes
- Charging is straightforward although the granny cable is slightly shorter than I expected

The bad:
- Just 1 USB port which is effectively your aux in if you want android auto etc. I've stuck a 12v adapter in to provide an additional 2 ports, one of which I've powered a front dashcam from. If I wanted to put my rear dashcam in I'd probably have to cut into power at the rear lights
- Nissan connect services app. I'd read up on the issues with this but jeez what an absolute st show it is. Not going to go into the details as I've had a gutsful of it for today.

First impressions are that it's only average but then I'm more of a podcast guy so my opinion doesn't count for much!

Heated steering wheel was much appreciated this morning & ACC was impressive also

I'm penciled in to pick mine up on the 15th of March from Peterborough , but my home charge point isn't going in till 18th March.

I can't really charge my car without one at home (unless I leave the front door open) so I might have to charge it in town!
