Sorry my bad. I meant, installing a faster charger for the main purpose of taking advantage of 4 hour charging windows. I just charge overnight on a 3 pin which adds about 130 miles, which is more than I ever drive in a day.
Yeah, I think a lot of people can get away with that. I had it the first week I had a Tesla but I drove more every day than I could charge (we can pull 3. 5kw from a regular plug), which made the end of the week pretty interesting.
I solved it by destination charging though, which is ubiquitous in NL.

Yeah a granny charger is ok, I used it for about 2 months but one day I was out and got back late from work with a few miles remaining and my car wasn't charged by the next morning when I needed it. I solved it by destination charging though, which is ubiquitous in NL.

Suffice to say I then ordered a fast charger.
