My first impression is a bit Meh to be honest; and those awful wheels! God what is it with VW and utterly gopping wheels? Once my eyes settled on them I couldn't see anything else.

We were looking for a GTI last year and these seemed to come as standard with similarly awful wheels.

Still, as said further up thread: I am sure they will sell plenty

It has to fit into their brand space, there will be amore exciting seat/cupra version for those people, a more refined luxury version with an audi badge for those etc etc

Another thread lost to Tesla v The World.

We won't get that here. Question is if any EV incentive will remain by the time these become mainstream available. I would think no or at least further reduced to support the burden the government Debt is in now. Norway will be full of these

That should sell well in USA then I think.

So no-one is allowed to compare this to the Tesla Model Y? The benchmark in this segment?
Are they allowed to compare it to the Polestar 2?

Your username is decidedly deceitful.

Oh if it was better than the Tesla he'd be all over comparing them.

When is the Model Y launching in the UK? Until both are available here, in the UK, it's a bit of a pointless comparison you're comparing something I can have in a few months to something that I can have in 2 years time (if I'm lucky).

That picture in blue makes it look better than any other picture I've seen so far.
Conservative but not bad.

The natural competitor to this isn't pricey stuff like the Model Y, but rather it's home grown siblings - the Enyaq, Q4 E-Tron, and whatever the Seat one will be called. Maybe the Nissan Ariya, and the Koreans too.
