I understand all that but £1k a month is nuts. That's mortgage money - madness. Volvo know what they're doing I'm sure but who are their customers?

Rich school run mums I'm guessing.
But are they really going to pick a compact Volvo SUV that looks almost identical to a car you can buy for £25k?

I don't see it personally.

Trolling disappointing.

Did you find your wife in bed with 8 Chinese men or something similar?

Just over 200 miles.under test from a 78kWh battery is appalling. It's not like it's alone in the crossover segment of vehicles with poor aerodynamics.

As expected it's essentially a P2 only worse to drive, less efficient, less interesting and heavier all for an extra £13k..

As mentioned previously you'd need your head looking at if considering buying one at that price IMHO.

Assuming Volvo knows more than me about their marketing, I'd guess that they won't build many. The demand for new shiny things means they will sell the number they will make.
Back down to Earth, it's £10k too expensive. When RHD Mustang EVs, Model Ys, Mercs, ID4s et all come to market, maybe we'll see some competition-driven price reductions.
