Always liked the look of that size Seat. Maybe a bit "boy racer" but I always thought they looked good.
This... I like it but... there's something about that front end. It's just a sleek bumper stacked on top of a grill.
It just has too much going on for my liking. The need for a grill underneath there is questionable, but considering the height it would otherwise probably end up looking like a Model Y front end?

Our local Seat dealer claimed demo cars would be available end of March, I can see that slipping though.
He also said that they're getting an initial batch of stock cars, and his feeling is if you don't get the initial batch you could well end up not getting one at all, due to the ongoing global issues.

Just placed an order via salary sacrifice for a Born for my wife to replace her e-golf. It'll be fascinating to see if hers arrives before my Q4 which I put an order in for in early Jan (current delivery estimate Oct 22 but I'll be amazed if it turns up that quick!).
No idea how VAG are going to allocate production slots for the MEB cars at Zwickau cross-brand when they're all massively over subscribed - I suspect they'll make a bit of room for some Borns by pushing back some ID3s, Q4s, Enyaqs to give the newer brand a chance but they're very much stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Lease prices have gone up through the roof due to a serious imbalance in supply and demand though. Oh well, I guess it will all settle down eventually.

Dealers on the FB group now stating there will be no launch cars available, all orders will be factory only.
So end of March they're launching a car that we're unlikely to see on the roads for 18-24mths
I read that as no dealer launch cars, just spoken to our SEAT branch, there will be dealer cars for demo and viewing but no actual launch stock for orders. So end of March they're launching a car that we're unlikely to see on the roads for 18-24mths
I fancied one of these, I had been a SEAT owner/Enthusiast for last 14 years but bought a stop gap car last year and ended up buying a bigger house..
Just looked how much these are going to be / lease and cant see me moving into one soon, shame really as I like the look of them and would suit my needs.

Basically the factory has already sold all their 2022 build capacity, which has now been pushed back into 2023 due to the invasion, and they haven't sorted a replacement supplier for parts that were previously manufactured in Ukraine. So most VW group EVs don't have a current scheduled build date
