I don’t want to have a wallet full of cards so I’m thinking BP & Shell - any other ones?

Instavolt an Ionity.

You don't need a wallet full of cards BTW, just download the apps for each of them to your phone and register?

Shell or ChargePoint app and RFID card (free) mainly as these include Ionity and give you a bit of a discount with them (still very expensive!).

Osprey app as it gives you a good discount (they also do contactless) and they’re a reliable network.

Instavolt are also very good and have contactless.

The Ecotricity chargers at motorway services are all currently being replaced by Gridserve (who have also just fully bought out their Electric Highway) - this is fantastic news and should make life easier. (also contactless, no app or cards as yet).

Tesla. Sign up for free when you buy one and never worry about faulty apps or chargers in the wrong parts of town

You need quite a few apps, which all seem to log out at random times meaning when you actually need to use them you have the faff of resting the passwords.
