Just to buck the trend, and I'm still in the honeymoon period, but... having traded in my 981 Boxster for an i3 I can't see myself going back.
Looking forward to an electric MX5!

I'll get me coat. getmecoat
I can do better than that.....

My daily commuter....

The weekend toy.....

....and more recently this is whats getting me out of bed at 6am

I cannot actually remember the last time I was really enthusiastic about cars, the Taycan maybe but that more to do with the fact I want to say at some point in my life I've owned a Porsche.

If I ever get the OK from SWMBO, something like this this will be my next vehicle purchase cloud9.

One has terrible build quality, is noisy, uncomfortable and so far hasn't been that reliable.
The other one is fantastic, hasn't let me down, comfortable on long trips and always raises a smile when I drive it.

Please guess which one is the TVR and which one is the Tesla!
No one agreed with me on the Tesla Facebook group I’m on that Tesla/TVR are spiritual brothers - fast, quirky, suspect build quality, use customers as beta testers….

Thanks to a terrifically lame 1.3 litre Talbot horizon engine, probably more of "mild" than "mad" max

And the chassis tech was a mix of Lotus (used a rusty elan backbone chassis donated by a neighbour who rebuilt his Elan with a new chassis) and the local scafolding company...... ;-)

Worst bit was when the front tyres would find and flick up a nice wet cowpat from the fields we hooned across! Straight to the face thanks to a total lack of any wheelhouses or guards! 50mph felt honestly like about 200

Yep, both use the customers as the R&D department. Only TVR needs tubes of silicone and a loft hatch catch from B&Q though...
The TMC forum is quite interesting - suggesting fitting a 32 amp commando socket without a special electrician or some weird new RCD is like mentioning the NSPCC on a Gary Glitter forum.

This ^^^ looks like the perfect recipe for having an absolutely enourmous amount of fun. And then ending up in Hospital after suddenly rolling it 12 times....... ;-)

There’s a reason why it has 5 point harnesses and side nets! But being 6’ wide helps keep it wheels down, just watch out for ruts when inevitably sliding around…

The banana car…..

And the EV….

I’ll never take a diesel / petrol / hybrid as a daily ever again. EV is brilliant but it ain’t no 911

I have no regrets. I keep telling people that I can't imagine having an ICE vehicle as a daily driver ever again.

And the Lotus is obviously about as good as it gets for a useable and involving weekend car / track toy.

Anyway, BMW i3S and GR Yaris. I think they are both great.

Thank you smile

Ended up with the PS2 quite by accident through company car scheme, really wasnt planned until a couple of months ago. Certainly feel very very lucky to have both - its a very nice combo.

Must say through, Paul_M3's Lotus above is an extremely tempting option to accompany an EV daily, I'd say better than mine. But I cant see me parting with the Banana, lifetime ambition to have one!

As much as I love my new two car combo, it was very hard to say goodbye to the 911. As a car that can do everything, I think it’s pretty much unbeatable.

Thing is, the PS2 is very very good and certainly straight line fast, so do I need a do-it-all 911 as well?

An Exige is really the only thing I'd swap it for as a forever ICE; the tech in an Exige won't date and kill it and its so tuneable (Komotec etc....).

I'm terrified the 992 tech will go bang in 15 years and kill the car. Saying that, sure there will be options to 'Outlaw' or 'Singer' it.
