Agreed. Mine was trouble-free on 2.0 for 4 months, updated to 2.1 no issues, and zero problems since.

What about a second hand Tesla Model S, then you can make use of the Supercharger network?

Or just go for another PHEV? There's a few more on the market now from Skoda, SEAT, etc
