Not sure what the spec is on the current models, but the bigger screen is absolutely worth it. The reversing camera is good and the iDrive system is pretty simple to use, but having the bigger screen makes it all a little easier to use.
We got the cloth seat version (cant remember the package name) and they are great. Not sure leather would be an improvement. Pretty sure that heated seats are standard, so thats worth having if not. We also have the standard stereo which is OK at best. Just upgraded the speakers which makes a small but needed improvement, but the HK system is better - though most owners say it brings it to being good but not great, so check out what you are happy with. Beyond that, I like the idea that its pretty basic. Comes standard with everything that you need and little else.
Great little car and a hoot to drive. However, I would push the dealer to throw in a few extras though - for example, do you get the My BMW app usage for free? And if so, how long do you get it? 1 year or more? Its peanuts, but why not get it thrown in. I think that BMW does free servicing on them too, but I would also make sure you confirm this too - minimum cost and hassle motoring!
One final comment - OP mentioned Austria? Was that correct? Have you considered the tires? They are an unusual size and getting hold of them can be a challenge. They arent cheap either, so check what the costs are first. And you might want to consider asking the dealer to throw in a set of wheels and winter tires too, could sweeten the deal nicely! Last time I checked, there are only two types of winter tires available here in the US - so competition isnt good.

So in follow up I have just ordered it today. Holiday delayed the process.
0.77% interest
48months
€3600 down payment
€3600 credit in “e-mobility bonus” - effectively zero deposit.
10k km - extra are @ €0.11/km
€239/month
I went completely standard on the outside so it’s white with the standard wheels. Interior got the comfort packet, heat pump, heated seats, Pro nav, iPhone integration.
Winter tyres weren’t too bad so I’ll buy them.
Arrives in 6 weeks. Can’t wait.

Hope you enjoy it. Have been toying with the idea of returning to the BMW i range when the lease is up on the m135 - feeling the i4 m50 I’m sure I’ll enjoy this, it’s really great.

Went and collected it this morning. Perfect small car. Really happy. Thanks for your help with spec.
just like us, you went full on Panda spec. with the colour. Enjoy, we picked our up a few weeks ago, although ours is a year old. However, disappointingly i was burned off the lights by an Audi S4 last night, i think the word is out that these things are quite nippy!

Panda spec for the win!
Got rid of ours not long after getting the Tesla early last year, still miss it.
Rarely get burned off at the lights any more though.

Glad I’m not the only one who went panda/stormtrooper spec. It’s such a nice car. I love all the design details, carbon plastic passenger cell, hemp dash.
Done 100 miles now and was at 64% so it’s seems to be very efficient. Have been driving around on comfort mode. I think eco pro will probably be useful in winter but we have a wall box so not too fussed about range. In any case I decided my strategy will be to always charge when possible so that it’s always ready. We share the charger with our neighbours (for now), when we get a model Y I think we will just separate and get our own as 3 EV for one charger is a bit much.
The fun in these cars is definitely in how serene the driving experience is. My brother in law had a go this morning and it’s not fun when it’s being shagged about. I like the one pedal driving chill, podcast/music, silence.

Red ones are faster......
Normally try to avoid going shopping on the weekend, but we ran out of wine, so thought i'd try my local Tesco's as they have just installed and activated their Podpoints. Rest of the car park was totally rammed, yet all four charging bays were unused, so plugged in for 30min (3kWh only on the 7kW charger but easily negated the 4 mile drive their and back).

+1 it's a storm trooper!!
Considering how long they've been around they're still on the money, maybe a bit light for range now but that carbon core and design details really hold strong. You can only imagine if the i4 and iX have built on the learnings as much as you'd hope they should be damn impressive. I hope they bring our a more saloon version of the iX, an electric version of something the size of the 5/6 series (or 7/8) with the 110kwh battery and I think I'd be sold. Rolls are meant to be going electric and the 7 has in the past shared the platform so it's only a matter of time.

Honestly after a weekend of driving it I’m now considering the upgrade of our Passat to model Y sooner rather than later. The tax situation (write everything off tax free through the business) means it’s almost a no brainer.
I had a minor fk up which was that whilst stowing the (still packeted) charging cables I dropped the key between the gap between the frunk tray and the bumper. Had to take the panels off underneath and grope around. Luckily found the key without too much issue. Idiot.
