The road tax on our 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee is now an eye-watering £600 per year, so perhaps now is the time to 'go green' :-)

What might I consider as a suitable electric-only replacement?

A towing capacity of 3500kg is required, with 4-wheel drive over moderate off-road terrain. A range of at least 350 miles is required when towing in the region of 2500kg.

And no more than £3,000, if possible.... smile

For that money, if you could find something, the range towing that weight would be about half a mile. I sense your question is a pi55take.

£1.65 a day makes your eyes water? Take coffee in a flask, you're quids in.

I’m surprised £600 a year is an issue around here. I spend more annually on gin.

For £3k? And not to mention it’s not coming to the U.K. in that form.

But are you not paying attention to the fact it’s a wind up attempt?

I would say an X5 45e, although only a PHEV, would be best for towing because of the range requirements.

Easily available under your £3000 per month budget.

There really isn't - the cybertruck isn't in production, it's still a dream of Musks and even he admits it would be somewhat expensive if they were to build it..

https://insideevs.com/news/525021/tesla-cybertruck...

Yep - a million dollars...

Not sure $3k a month would cover that
