EV regenerative breaking and no brake lights

I’ve been behind a Corsa-e and got caught out by the brake lights no coming on, so gave an even bigger gap and worked off the car in front of the Corsa brake lights, Regen does slow quite sharply.
I have driven a leaf and the brake lights did come on with regen braking(I saw the reflection) it would put me off using the excellent (I really liked one pedal driving) feature if no brake lights came on.
Thanks for all the responses chaps, it's my first time in this forum!I have driven a leaf and the brake lights did come on with regen braking(I saw the reflection) it would put me off using the excellent (I really liked one pedal driving) feature if no brake lights came on.
I've double checked again no brake lights when 70-50 on a dual carriageway.
It must be a feature of the Corse E. I'll mention it to my sister or just stay out of regen. It is worth a follow up with the dealer though.
The thing needs charging now, & I have a long trip away tomorrow, so back to the world of ICE for me for the time being.

I just checked mine and can confirm the Merc EQA brake lights come on when off the throttle (slowing down) in D- & D-- which is good as D-- is better than the actual brakes in some cars I had back in the day!
This comment made me wonder if there'll ever be part of the driving test where you have to recall how long it takes to regen from 70-0, as opposed to just the braking distance (o/t but 315ft? Not in my cars, mate. Even the reaction times are works of fiction).TheDrownedApe said:
^ This. Regulations state brake lights need to come on if the regen deceleration is above a certain amount. If not, they don’t need to. Corsa regen deceleration does not exceed this threshold, hence no brake lights.dvs_dave said:

yes - the level of deceleration is probably no different to what you get in a petrol car if you downshift to 2nd gear at 50mphdhutch said:

I was thinking basically that. Certainly you can supprise people by down shifting hard!
Either Vauxhall have reached a new level of stness or there is something wrong with that Corsa if it's really not signalling anything other than very light braking.
