Taycan GTS Sport Turismo
Discussion
Just happened to spot this on the Porsche site but looks like the car a lot of people have been asking for? Removes all of the off-road bits and offers a more sporting setup/configuration as standard than the Cross Turismo model.

Off to have a play in the configurator.

Cheers.
Rarely visit the PH home page, as I expect many here don't, so thought it worth a thread in the EV section.
ETA - Just had a quick read of the GG thread and as expected it's the usual uninformed ramblings from a bunch of posters with no experience or knowledge of the subject.

I've been considering putting a deposit down on a Cross to replace my regular 4S, but had been hoping for a Sport Turismo to appear at some point. Noticed this appear out of nowhere on the configurator by chance yesterday. I found it hard to tell whether it's worth the extra money, the 4S Cross can be specced at around £100k and still be really nice (see Remove Before Race's recent review on YouTube).
Would you need a bunch of options on the GTS? The standard wheels look a bit sad so it needs the RS Spyder wheels to start. Then the GTS interior is an additional £2.8k. Carmine Red is £1.7k So it's pretty easy to go mental!

That is one ugly mofo of a car. Looks so long! The 4 door is way better looking imho. Placed an order for the 4 door GTS.
Personal thing but always preferred the estate/touring versions over the saloons, especially with there being no difference in price and a lot of added practicality. The picture above doesn't do it justice. Looks much better with the RS Spyder wheels in the metal.
OOo, that slipped past me! I must have missed the Porsche and PCA emails about this!!!
I really like that. I wasnt sold on the plastic bits, though I do see why they did it. Much prefer the cleaner look. Stupidly, I decided to check on kbb.com how much the Macan was worth on trade in after 6000 miles and 8 months. Damn, its worth more than we paid for the damn thing! Wife is already saying that we should trade up....

The rest of the Sport Turismo range went on sale yesterday, now you can spec the whole range from 2 to Turbo as a wagon.
All the way to Turbo S in fact. That's got to stick in the teeth of a few people who ordered the Cross Turismo despite not being keen on the ride height and additional bodywork. Have to wonder why the ST didn't come first?

Good question. I would be one of those.VAG often have very good marketing reasons to do so, makes you wonder indeed.

I would suspect it was done to keep saloon sales at a reasonable level? Had they released the ST straight after the saloon at the same price it would have finished it I'd have thought. I expect the same with the Model 3/Y despite the Y being 10% more expensive.
But then why was the saloon made at all?Iirc Tesla built the 3 first because they knew demand would be a bit more manageable and they were still ramping up production.
On the other hand, we in Europe do like an estate car where the US and China prefer saloons/SUV.

I am pretty sure this could finally be the car to replace my B7 RS4 (and 911)...
Currently doing plenty of man maths...
If you need reat seats i.e. kids then this could well be the car for you.Currently doing plenty of man maths...
I have the saloon turbo, a 911 and a 355. I have hardly driven the 911 and 355 since I had the Taycan, such a great car.
I have also now just orders a ST Turbo.
