I like the idea of them, and if the batteries weren't leased I'd seriously consider one.
I think their size is great for b-roads or cities, and I imagine they feel like you're going much faster than you actually are, something a lot of cars lack in these days of speed cameras and cars not really being fun until you're going very quickly.

.
RCI will let you buy the battery very easily now. I don’t think it costs much on earlier Twizy either. .
They’re actively contacting owners of battery lease vehicles about a purchase option. Think they want to offload them.

I spent the afternoon in one in Spain. Fine where its dry and sunny, a bit like a Jeep but just too exposed in the UK to the weather. Not what you'd call quick either and as said above the worst of a car and a bike.
You can get doors and windows for them.Murph7355 said:

I had a look at these and thought that the best option was to go to one of the japanese import sites. Quite a few twizys well specced, good prices (even with shipping) and seem to be battery owned.I think their size is great for b-roads or cities, and I imagine they feel like you're going much faster than you actually are, something a lot of cars lack in these days of speed cameras and cars not really being fun until you're going very quickly.
Quite a few countries have rules that made battery lease non-viable. I've seen cars from scandinavia with owned bats as well.

Once again for the people at the back - it’s very simple to buy out the battery lease now and is almost actively encouraged by RCI. Quite a few countries have rules that made battery lease non-viable. I've seen cars from scandinavia with owned bats as well.

Or wait for the Citroen Ami which is coming to the UK this year.
Also a quadracycle.
Thought they looked quite novel until I saw the new Fifth Gear test of them, where it went up on two wheels and nearly toppled over going around a hairpin bend. For fun, I expect the Twizy is the standout winner, unless your idea of fun is hanging upside down Also a quadracycle.

So what? Renault seem to be quoting people amounts between £800 and £2000 to buy out a twizy battery. And twizy prices are too high in the uk anyway. When I last looked (couple of months ago) £4.5k would get an immaculate low miles battery owned twizy delivered to the uk.
Can you provide a link to somewhere with cars like that then? Sounds like good value to me. Toaster Pilot said:
