Are Electric Cars the biggest con on the planet?

Elon Musk's naïve folly of introducing automation before the technology is sufficiently developed. Automated systems are much easier to integrate into EVs than ICEVs.
Looks like an art installation by Damien Hirst , let's call it. "Has the Electric Cars movement finally hit a brick wall"now available to view at the Tate Modern.
Next week watch Anthony Gormless put a Citroen Ami on its roof, at the V&A !!!!

There is a significant market for small 2 person vehicles with a bit of luggage space that can travel in and around towns especially of the many single people who have no need of an SUV or 4 seater.
It needs to be nippy and max speed does not need to be more than about 100kph as it will never see a motorway.
and spent many a happy hour in the outside lane of motorways.

Correct, statistically there will be more erroneous posts. However, feel free to spend your final hours attempting to disprove reality.
To be honest I really dont give a crap what you spout about EV's, I've just bought myself a lovely Morgan 4/4, the sound is just magical, and wind in what little hair I still have, as I drive past field of flowers is , is glorious. It sips E5, and the wafting aroma of warm engine oil is addictive. It was built by craftsmen, in brown dungarees, who enjoy a glass of cider at the weekends & takes 2 mins to fill the tank. If I ever say 'I want an EV' you can section me, as by that time I would have lost my marbles DonkeyApple said:
I believe that's correct. It's also that the client can end up with a hire car for months on top.
The reliability issue and inability to fix things efficiently was and I believe, still is keeping the brand off some fleet lists.
Come on DA, I guess posting for you is like going to the gym for 'normal people' !!!! The reliability issue and inability to fix things efficiently was and I believe, still is keeping the brand off some fleet lists.
If I don't post at least 10 posts a day, then it doesn't count ???
You are actually allowed to go out occasionally, and sometimes even in a real car.

You said goodbye barely a few hours ago. You might want to get that looked at. Bye. Don't need any followers. If I don't post at least 10 posts a day, then it doesn't count ???

To be fair to her the original smart cars had a petrol filler on the right and an identical looking cover over the air intake on the left, presumably for styling symmetry or something. Pretty dumb design.
They changed the design on the next model and did away with the ‘fake’ fuel filler cap, I wonder why…
We were one off the first Smart car owners in the UK, and my wife managed to fill via the air intake instead of the fuel filler , BUT, only because the dealer in MK had done the same and the air intake/turbo feed was already loose. Afterwards we all got stickers to put on the window to show where to fill up.They changed the design on the next model and did away with the ‘fake’ fuel filler cap, I wonder why…
Mon 8 May 2023 14:13 BMW i3 - I3 catches fire and takes out 3 shops then vanish
Initial examination by the London Fire Brigade indicated that the fire started in the battery area but the owner claimed that she had allegedly received a phone call from a BMW representative telling her that they had never seen anything like it.
Then she claims she waited for BMW to collect the car but had to get some lunch and when she returned the remains of the car had disappeared .
