Couple of questions before pushing button on Polestar 2
Discussion
A few points,
If your client doesn't get a charger, Bracknell is rubbish for charging it only has one 50 kW charger.
The next thing to think about which has sort of been covered, the Polestar twin motor will only do around 180 miles in the winter, that is full to empty, so the real-world range is going to be around 150 miles as you will need a buffer if the charger you stop at is broken.
Most other Ev's will be the same, I-pace, Eqa, i4 Etc etc.
If you are looking to cover this sort of distance regularly I would look for something like the eNiro or some sort of Tesla as the network seems to still be miles better than anyone else.
Space-wise, only you can decide, but in everyday use, we cope easily with two kids etc, but we do now have a roof box for holidays.

Thank you HellDog - this sort of stuff is really useful!
I'm with my Bracknell client tomorrow, so will fish and see if they have any plans for an on-site charger...
Failing that, it sounds like I need to test a Tesla to access the fast-charging network. Hopefully they might agree to an extended test drive.
On (yet another!) tangent, I found a great lease deal on an i4 40 last night with 2x packs that actually came out cheaper than the P2. It is a much nicer drive and has max range of 367 miles, which should hopefully give me the confidence to do the 1 way down each time comfortably... If I can persuade the client to invest in on-site charging - that could be the solution...?
The I4 is not a bad call. Not as efficient as the Model 3, but more aerodynamic than most alternatives. Another one I like is the new KIA EV6 as it has great charging performance.I'm with my Bracknell client tomorrow, so will fish and see if they have any plans for an on-site charger...

To be honest I've had another go with ABRP and my conclusion is that the Tesla Superchargers are in such convenient locations for your weekly journey (looking at motorway acces, but also services for a drink and a pee) that it's impossible to beat. You could manage by only topping up 15min at Oxford on the way back or grabbing a 30min breakfast there (and not stopping on the way back at all...)
I was wondering how you are managing the trip now? If you could stop en-route and take breakfast when you're nearly there and dinner on the way back and there are super/fastchargers in good locations you open up a lot more options for less efficient EV's too. But it will definitely narrow your options if you have less range.
