did you get a delivery date? i was given mid Sept for mine
The delivery timescale is showing 35 weeks, which is early November.
My Polestar 2 goes back start of November so hopefully this doesn't move.

Any of you guys got an update on your IX order for delivery timescales? I am in still under the process to order and seeing 35 weeks as the delivery timeline. My current lease is also going back at start of November so seems like could be a close timeline.

Thanks for that Swoll may need to look at that to cover the gap. Actually had an update this morning that the build slot is pending but expected around end of Sept or October so might just work out.

Yep, 35 weeks for me too.
Currently right on schedule for my car swap in early November. Tusker can provide a stop-gap car if it misses delivery timescale.

Considering buying a used iX. Can anyone tell me what the standard headlights are like? Would prefer laser lights but if the standard ones are pretty decent then maybe it doesn’t matter

I find the standard LED lights are poor, even in the city. I would strongly recommend Laserlights if you are going to get one.

Thank you - appreciate it. Have been looking at one with laser lights but had no idea what the standard lights are like - not seen any reviewer make any reference to the lights

I'd imagine all of the press cars had laser lights fitted so wouldn't have been much use had they given an opinion anyway.

One of the best upgrades you can pay for IME, have had matrix lights on our last 2 Audi's and they've been superb.

Have had them on a couple of cars so far. But they are a two grand option on the iX

I thought about Laser’s but the cost and the low benefit (for me) put me off.
The iX comes with auto main beams anyway and I don’t drive on dark, difficult to see roads.

The nearest streetlights to my home are 1.5 miles away, and I have regular long journeys at night in winter across southern Scotland and mid wales

And my new (to me) used ix50 arrives Monday. The first owner must have lost about £6 a mile so am reasonably happy though having to fit a tracker to appease the insurance company.

Is the IX that desirable to thieves? Haven't even looked at the insurance group! As mine will be covered as part of the salary sacrifice deal. I had read that it has internal camera which will send a photo of the inside if the car is stolen.

Group 50 for the, erm, 50! Hopefully less of a theft magnet than the Range Rover sport phev I was going to get (but which I cancelled due to delays and dealer lies)

It's due to the list price being so high of the 50. You can insure the 40 without needing a tracker.

It’s weird that cars that have built-in GPS and built-in connectivity where you can remotely see where the car is don’t have the tracking functionality built in. What else is required?

Yes - NFU requirement for any car with a value of more than £75k

Just checked the IX40 is Group 47. Either way I am covered by the wrap around package as part of the salary sacrifice lease. One thing I was thinking about how do I manage my NCB lapsing after 2 years of no use. I may have to flip it between my wife cars every year?

No build date given yet. Asked bmw, they had quoted q3, updated me to say Oct or Nov and then added - still on track for q3. Thi k they need a new calendar
