can anyone remember what the public charging rates were roughly before vlad made his pitch for a statue in red square?

i know osprey got as high as a quid at one point, and 50kWh+ charging seems to have found a level at around 66p. what was it before though?

Tesla was around 36p, reached 60p+ and is now down to 41p.

Last summer Podpoint at Lidl supermarkets were 29p/kWh, for Rapid (50kW). Seems like a bargain now!

Couple of years ago (make that 'pre covid'), the charge point in our seaside town car park was about 60p/kWh plus some fixed fee.
I didn't see many cars using it.

At the start of March 2022 I paid £0.40/kWh at Tesla Stockport.

Last September, Tesco and Aldi were free, only 7kwh though

When i got mine in March 2020 it was 23p/Kw iirc.

It’s nice that Tesla is adjusting the rates downwards. I’m sure the others will be reluctant to do the same. I incidentally think the cost of public charging is a major barrier to adoption as it means EVs mentally become local loop tools only/primarily as nobody in their right mind would pay a premium for faff.

Dragon Charging in Pembrokeshire went from 35p/kw to 65p/kw now for 22Kw type 2 sockets

few tesco sites i've visited recently were still free on the AC chargers, which included the 22kw (my polestar only gets 11 on AC, but still.. not bad for free!)

65p kWh mostly here, not really an incentive for people without driveways.
