I am half tempted, I have an MG ZS so this would make an interesting two car driveway in a very strange way. However there isn't a load cover, and a hard top seems unavailable making the load bed useless really. Anything you put in it will fly away unless tied down.

Utterly unhinged prices! Why wait forever for a Cybertruck when you can have a Maxus!

Given that it's one of SAIC motors sub brands I wouldn't think that'd be an issue, given how well MG are doing..

They seem to have sold a boat tonne of vans recently too.

It's likely sales have been slow so they want to get some vehicles out there. Maxus vans sell very well, and SAIC MGs sell even better.

I posted a lease deal of these on another thread yesterday.

Who cares how st it is or even if it breaks down.. most current ICE drivers would save more in fuel costs than the monthly cost of this lease! Just snap em up and make yourself richer whilst hooning around in a random pickup truck

You can lease these for £100-odd a month. Cheaper than the bus!
Rear wheel drive only though.

And 10k miles a year and virtually no deposit. I think I saw £200 somewhere

For something that's essentially 'free' compared with running the ICE it could replace, the reviews aren't actually that bad!

I've gone for one of these.
They're unbelievably crap compared to anything else out there BUT it's £120/month for a brand new electric vehicle that comfortably fits 5 people.

You still have to put a key in the ignition FFS.

All in all, 2 years and 20k miles for £175 a month (amortized).

Insurance is coming out at a grand for me, 54 years old in Herts, 9 years no claims and clean everything. Not sure if the no claims can apply to a van coming from a car, but confused.com asked me about it.

Congrats! You've chosen a terrible car but one that makes so much sense!!

Well I suppose they're not actually crap at all - for the price. In fact for the price they're excellent.

It's essentially an outdated and very average EV but at a far less than average price = a good car.

If I get rid of my wife's petrol car and convince her to drive it, it'll effectively be a free car as the monthly payment plus electric cost will be less than she currently spends on fuel alone.

It’s roughly the same monthlies as the PCP on my 2 year old Zoe that I bought 5 months ago - if I could get out of it I’d be all over one of these.
