Joking aside, it's a lovely looking thing if you've got money to spend on jewellery. The love child of a Frogeye Sprite and a Copen, especially with those lovely Minilites.

The cockpit looks like a fabulous place to be, (admittedly not for very long with that range) but the handbrake looks a bit awkward, even if it's not much of a stretch in such a small car. It has an actual handbrake! Brilliant! I'm easily pleased. smile

590Kg? The battery in our car weighs nearly that much. Future battery tech. ought to be able to double that range without increasing the weight.

I live in hope, however they had better hurry up as I'm getting on a bit. hehe

Edit.
Just spotted the charging cable channel - would that be watertight on the move I wonder. It does avoid having an obvious charge port on the jelly-mould bodywork that looks like it would be a pleasure to wash, polish and wax.

I'll stop there before I reveal how much time I spend cleaning cars...
It's a rag top from a micro manufacturer - obviously none of it is going to be watertight biggrin

- although I do quite like it as a cost saving and line preserving solution, it probably has a deformable rubber bung or similar that'll keep the rain out when the cable isn't in place, at least initially...

I also see there are no side windows, I mean standard up/down things, I spotted the holes in the door, so I guess you get some stick in windows ala AC cobra?

Personally I would like normal up/down side windows in the car door in every car, which is also a bit of a shame in those lovely Morgan Plus 4/6/8 models...only their aero models have more conventional side windows.

Now you've got me looking at the windscreen - how does the folding roof seal to that open topped glass screen? I guess the only clamps must be at either side where the pillars are. I can imagine that whatever forms the seal across the top of the windscreen is going to move around a little the winds batters it and allow some rain to seep in.

The joys of drop top sports cars made in sheds smile

It's not a car though is it - it's a quadricycle to avoid the crash tests etc.

I quite like the design, but it's not cheap and not strong!

Light Quadricycles are limited to a maximum of 45kM/hr, 28 mph. Somebody posted it does 70mph.

This is 56 bhp (41kW)

"Regardless of whether the quadricycle is driven by an electric motor or a combustion engine, the total power output also may not exceed 4kW, and top speed is limited to 45km/h.

Heavy quadricycles do not carry a top speed restriction, but are still restricted to a maximum power of just 15kW and an unladen mass of 400kg – extended to 550kg for quadricycles intended to carry cargo, and also having the same exception as electric light quadricycles whereby battery weight is not counted towards this limit. "
