Glass bottles banned at lemans, all campsites.
Discussion
Ah not that old chestnut I remember back in the 90’s they tried to do this and it led to all sorts of fun and games, tunnels dug under the wire on the campsites trips across the woods with the illegal booty!! At the end of the race there were loads of bottles left inside the track it failed then and it will again.

Update from another source....
OK. I have just had word from the Travel Destinations guys on the ground at Le Mans.
Apparently the mayor of Le Mans did try to pass a blanket ban on all alcohol at the circuit this morning (bringing it in to line with their football grounds etc.)
However this has been overturned on appeal by the ACO.
Alcohol will now be allowed on all campsites and can be consumed on all campsites.
However, alcohol should not be consumed in public areas such as grandstands.
How this is going to be implemented is another matter. Maybe it won't be.
But our people on the ground are reporting that there is no problem with bringing alcohol (bottles or otherwise) in to the campsite.
Hope this helps everyone.

Just so you know. Just had text from part of my group on P&O Dover - Calais ferry tonight and price of cans are as follows:
Grolsch 50ml x 24 = £12.49
1664 (50ml?) x 24= £11.79
Stella (50ml?) x 24 = £14.49
Also read on website:
John Smiths 50ml x 24 = £12.99
OR 2 crates for £25.00
Depends if you want to risk having your bottles binned. I've witnessed that at Santa Pod too many times

Wouldn't worry to much because according to the other threads on here were going to all be arrested and sent to the Bastille for the weekend for speeding as we get off the ferry. If that doesn't get us the monsoon's might and beyond that wev'e got to battle the German vegetables.
