Washing car a definate no. Shocking behaviour.

I've always washed mine after the 1st year we went, the beemer got peppered with dead bugs on the way down, they cooked on over the weekend, and were joined by a few more on the way home, when I tried washing them off when I got home they wouldn't budge, they ended up taking the top layer of laquer off the paint work with them
didn't matter in the end as shortly afterwards I bounced the car off Castle Combe tyre wall and it needed a complete respray

Easiest way to remove dead bugs is wet T-shirt or similar, drape over area with bugs, leave for 5-10 mins, wipe off, replace on next bit.

I thank ewe.

Doesn't the gf get a bit pissed off having to drape herself over the car all the time .

REturning with a dirty car is a no no as far as I am concerned. In the same way I hate seeing the teams polishing the race cars before the end.

The only thing I clean is the windscreen to keep it safe!

try callanderclassic.com - designed for people with the higher end of the car market in mind. Get the best of both worlds for those worried about the 'chav' element. Bit more expensive but definately more exclusive.
