Harry - you can get the pre-entry form from here www.victorywheelers.co.uk - just print it out, fill in the form and send off £15 per person, it should get there by tomorrow with a bit of luck.

Harry, you did know about it, look here;
www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?p=1&f=13&t=101507&h=0&hw=Thorney

You post on that thread ("July too far away") makes perfect sense though!

If you cant get the form in on time (by tomorrow) then I think, but am not sure, that you can still come down on the Sunday.

I havent heard back from them yet.

harry - i need to know all the answer to your questions too. Am trying to get hold of someone from the flyer. I think I will only be going on the sunday as a bit too much carry on camping for me at the mo with le mans and pistonfest. I want to run the car on the track sunday but not sure if possible when only turning up on the day and whether i need to pre-book/pay etc. If I get hold of someone I will let you know...

Harry. Im not sure on the specific details of turning up on the Sunday. The best thing to do is give them a call and ask. Number is on the website.

The reason I dont know is because Im going on the Saturday and so didnt find out about anything else.

If you turn up on the Sunday Im sure they'd let you run your car if you paid someone an extra fiver.

I just dropped a note in with my application asking for details on running the car - the bloke must still be laughing now!!

From the tone of the website it seems to be pre-entry only, no show up on the day which seems a little restrictive.

Phil, if you're not staying the Saturday how are you going to pay for the beers?? It's only one nights camping unlike LM - you know it makes sense!!

Since its only £15 per person I reckon its got to be worth paying for the camping now.

If you only turn up on the Sunday and dont camp its still not a bad price just to watch everything else that goes on.

Shnozz, you are a wusssss. Typical bloody Rover driving softy. We'll see if there is a space in the local residential home for you. Dont forget you blanket

(You gotta come on the Saturday night just for the band. Do you know any line dances? )

The £15 covers the camping as far as I know.

Last year it was less secure but the prices were

£12 for weekend camping (included entrance fees)
£3.50 daily entrance fees
£5 run your car on the strip as many times as you like.

All the money went to the Army charities as they rented the grounds to the Victory Wheelers for free.

The camping facilities consist of an airfield, portable loos, permanent loos and showers (5 mintute walk), a beach and lots of fast food places.

I'll be packing
- tent
- sleeping bag
- whiskey
- a chuckable BBQ
- something to put on the BBQ
- Rain coat.
- Camera and Video camera
- Scissors (might be able to make some money cutting hair!)

Just got through on the phone . For those interested in just going the one day (Sunday ) It is £5/adult £2/child on the door. Showing starts at 10am, the 'run what you brung' entry on the day is subject to numbers participating but you should be able to have a go, whether there was an additonal fee they weren't sure.
See you on the sunday, need to hook up nearer the date for any convoys etc .

you must have rung minutes before I did!

I was told £5 for entry - £25 to take a car on the track if you arent a "camper" (hi-di-hi) and £15 if you are a camper. (dusty and cuzza make a great camp pair) Priority goes to the campers so they cannot say for sure if the "rung what you brung" will get a go on the track or as many runs as they would like.

Entries must be in the post by tomorrow and I forgot to bring my cheque book to work so I can't camp even though persuation from the camp twins meant that I was planning on doing so. Oh well, shall come along sunday and hopefully get the car on the track.

Cuzza, you camping then?

That makes it us 2, Neil, Mike (Ferrari Daytona at LM) and Mick (Renault Megane at LM).

Mike and Mick will probably both be in Zephers.
(Although Mikes doesent resemble a Zepher much now!)
