Hey There. Can someone please tell me what the camping situation is like @ Le Mans. I have entrance and grand stand tickets and a car park pass for Car Park Bleu - but no campsite ticket. Have heard that people camp in Car Park Bleu but that there are no toilets etc - is this true?? Also - have heard that Camping Bleu (I assume this is different to Car Park Bleu) is pretty easy to get into if you turn up on the day and pay as you go in -can someone confirm that?? Also - is it pretty safe to leave your tent un-attended there (I'm a camping/Le Mans novis). Also on the official Le Mans web page it says that you're not allowed to camp in the car parks - so do they police it? Is there a chance they'll move you?? Also is there a remote chance of getting a pitch in Maison Blanche?? Help would be appreciated. Cheers!

Camping situation is dire and has been for the last eight months! Fully booked everywhere. A lot of people do park in Parking Bleu and camp up with little official interruption but facilities there are zero. (parking and camping Bleu are different sites and do require there own tickets)

As to turning up on the day and getting a campsite ticket on the gate, pretty much impossible I'd say.

You really have three courses of action:

1. Risk camping in parking Bleu

2. Go the the Club Arnage Forums and try to pick up a spare ticket there.

http://club-arnage.web-solutions.dk/forum/bbs.cgi

3. Get down to Le Mans and go to the ACO Rotunde building (near the Expo exhibition centre I believe) and see if there are any last minute cancellations you can pick up.

Good luck!

camp in paking Bleu. If you arrive late afternoon on Thursday they will be letting everyone in to park for the warm up so once you get in head over to the far left of the car park where everyone else is camping.

Watch out for the pikies though!!!
