Looking forward to going to this.
Just a heads up that if you order tickets via their ticket hotline and quote travel 2012 before the 17th August you get money off the prices. Just got 2 sunday tickets with a fiver off each.

I am producing a Spotters' Guide like last year and like I do for Le mans (It is part Stephen's excellent book about Le Mans)

If you want a free copy in pdf, send me a PM and I will send it along once the final seats have been confirmed.

PS I know that Stephen is not producing a dedicated guide for Silverstone.

Was thinking of going on Sat/Sun and camping, until I saw that Silverstone will only sell camping tickets with a 3 day ticket, and are asking £60 /person for the camping!

Just rung Silverstone about the camping, same price as last year. £25 each. Doors open 7am on Friday.

They need to change their website then

'Weekend camping is available at £60 per adult and £20 per child, for holders of 3 day tickets only. Adjacent to and within 250m of Club Corner at the South of the circuit. A mix of permanent and temporary facilities providing toilets, showers and shop provisions are available. Some electric hook-ups will be available to purchase on the day, on a first come first served basis for £30.'

Thanks for the discount code, I have just booked a weekend ticket and camping and saved £10

I was amazed I had to pay £7.50 each for my 4 & 5 year olds to camp, along with £25 for me - but at least I saved £10

Anything in the way of camping opposite the entrance this year? Or is that shut now?

Im going to the practise on Friday. Got a wedding Sat night so wont be making the race.

I took my brother to Le Mans classic this year but he's not seen the current type of cars doing the rounds so this will be a perfect opportunity biggrin
