I am sure there are more of you out there and I am am not alone.

Our normal source, TVR owners club, are all sold out, but why?

Infact everyone is sold out (yet to try MRI). I have called Just The Ticket (only have Tecno Camping ) and Page and Moy, who have none at all.

If I recall correctly Houx wasn't fully filled last year or the year before, there were some pitches free all weekend (even the ones without Trees). So who has these pitches for sale, there must be someone.

Any ideas are appreciated, woudl prefer Houx, but Maison Blanc is acceptable (dust free now), but we would need a generator to get the projector and tunes up and running.

Note I WILL be booking soon for 2006 as I have found a few sites who will take reservations for 2006.

The car club are given a pathetic allocation depsite pleading for more year-on-year.

Too true, once you take away the club internal big bookings, yourself at SELNWK, Dorset and E Sussex it doesn't leave too many pitches in Houx for 'normal' members .
Considering TVR has one of the biggest owner followers there, it must be extremely frustrating for the chair. But hey as my mother always says, "France, nice place, shame about ..........."

Try the ACO direct ( ticket@lemans.org ) they will have at the least some Beausejour tickets left, and then you can keep your eye on the usual places for any surplus tickets somewhere more favourable.

I ordered from the ACO in June last year, and still didn't get what I wanted.

Are you saying we're not normal down here in the South East

Must say I did feel awful in a way having such a large booking for the region this year (24 up from 3), as I was aware it would "steal" places from others and use up a large amount of the clubs allocation. But all those people would likely have booked seperately if I'd asked them too and we'd still have been grouped together. The club give no priority to group bookings over single cars however, so it is just a matter of first past the post.

Ask Simon about the fun he had trying to get the ACO to allow the trailer, they wanted move the club into a seperate field with no power/water because they classed it as corporate entertainment! Hence no trailer this year

Considering the number of times the club gets mentioned on Radio Le Mans and our presense in the parade over the last few years you'd think they'd sit up and take notice...

for 'normal' read 'individual'. No objections to first past the post as far as the booking goes, I have mine confirmed for Houx too . Just a shame the ACO don't listen to the clubs request for more, as already stated there are normally pitches available/vacant Houx throughout the whole weekend.

What really makes me want to blow my own top is that the TVRCC seem to allocate their Houx tickets without checking out the authenticity of the TVR members and inevitably, on occassion, the TVRCC Houx camping pitches end up in the hands of any old pikey therefore detracting from the purity of the TVR gathering

Take last year for example, our gathering of pristine TVRs were unfortunate enough to find ourselves camping it up next to a bunch of chavs (in the TVRCC section) who drove a selection of commor or garden nails ranging from crappy Alfas to Mondeos - they were a feckin disgrace, enjoying themselves at all hours of the day, drinking beer, using the 'B' word with alarming regularity and unbelievably showing hard core porn movies (including numerous shots of ladies front bottoms) on their huge projector TV - such a disgrace I had to retire to my tent early almost every night.

The final insults, having spent 2 hours alone polishing my pride and joy prior to departure on the Monday morning, was to see the Mondeo driving inbred wheel spinning his nail through their swimming pool! Result = the resultant tidal wave soaked the tyres of my pristine Griff and threw up a cload of dusk all over our pride and joys - We had to spend the next three hours cleaning the wheels and polishing the tyre treads and before we dare leave, and consequently missed our ferry back to Blighty - bunch of tossers

I say we limit Houx to TVR OWNERS and DRIVERS Only - KEEP OUT CHAVS YOUR NOT WELCOME

Bob.

For anyone struggling to get camping tickets, keep an eye on eBay nearer the time. Last year there were lots for sale on there, for all the main campsites.

Cheers,

Neil

They come up on here too and I beleive clubarnage.com has a forum just for ticket exchanges and sales.

Bob, definately sounds like you were camping in the wrong place - suggest you stay in maison blanche next year - no dust in sight!! Should help in your obsessive buffing behaviour......

Bob.

As I pointed out TVR have run out of pitches at Houx, and were not allocated the whole of Houx so it looks like the chavs will be back.

Thanks all for the suggestions, we have managed to get hold of a few pitches in the end on Houx...

... so keep an eye out for the Mondeo, a pool (if we can get our hands on a duff one to destroy) and the big screen. However there can be no guarantees on p@rn as this was provided by another family of chavs.

But if you need a hand in polishing your "TVR" and need inspiration we'll let you know if we do get any polishing material to view.

And if you’re lucky, we may have a Sagaris on site for you to drool over.

Sorted mine in December. I don't think a 911 & VR6 count as a 'chavmobile' though!

The ACO have no camping left.
But may extend Beausejour camping.
LeHoux is for everyone not just TVR owners. How piss boring would that be.
