Most of the footage was from early last year, so you would hope so
Didn't hear any complaints from the people who used them last year for the Le Mans trip
Wonder how the plans for boat No2 are coming along

It would probably worth them renting another one just for Le Mans weekend !!?

That Norfolk line boat better not be blocking the berth when we all get there !

Anyone have a spare torpedo !!

Two of our posse are heading to Le Mans on Speedferries for £25 return - pretty hard to beat that.

Thought the programme was great - confirmed all suspicions about price fixing among the main line operators. What about those Norfolk Line w**kers...

I for one will take every opportunity to travel Speedferries just to stick one on the other rip-off merchants - the guy deserves to be successful.

But then, I now live in Ireland and it costs £300 to get from Dublin to Holyhead with a motor. Wonder if he's planning to stuff the UK/Ireland operators as well.

Maybe I should take this on - any investors out there want to take on Stena and Irish Ferries??

Just finished watching it. top story, good luck to the man.
If he can beat the opposition, he gets my money.

Nice to see the big operators being "exposed"

Problem is, when you have a few low/wide cars its OK they place you specially, but the 7:45 crossing has a lot of PH cars on there and we may not all be able to go on the lower floor in prime locations...

slightly worried about my car, although its *only* a vauxhall so therfore is not special its been lowered about 60mm and the custom exhaust is rather vunerable...

sure it'll be fine though!

One of our group was concerned enough to call SpeedFerries...

I don’t know how many of you watched the BBC documentary last week about Speed Ferries; however you may have noticed the Ferrari owner grounding out the front nose of his car when coming off of the boat.

I spoke to Speed Ferries via there enquires line about this last week and this is what they had to say….

(Paraphrased)

“This film was shot around the time of Le Mans 2004. It was the first year of trading and we have learnt a lot about the types of vehicle we have travelling on our ships. We now have ways to get low-slung cars on/off the ship without causing damage; this can include things like reed matting to lessen the angle.”

I hope this helps put peoples mind at rest.

Booked (and paid for) crossings with Speed Ferries last week. Have just been told that Speed Ferries were overbooked and they have cancelled our reservation.

Managed to find (more expensive) crossings elsewhere, but but anyone who thinks they are travelling with SF might want to confirm they are OK !

Interesting to see that they blamed the problem on the TV program ! :

"Unfortunately, due to a documentary on television about the company, they have experienced a high volume of calls and bookings over the internet. Due to the high demand, the booking systems were unable to
cope with the increase in sales which then led to the system crashing under the pressure. This then meant that bookings were mistakenly being made for crossings that were indeed full."

Had a trial run with them over the weekend and some observations.

Going out, thick fog, crossing delayed 3 hours.

They were very conscious of the ride height on the TVR on loading
and parked me in a good spot on main deck and put blocks under the wheels.

Staff all friendly and helpful.

Coming back, bang on time and they put me right at the front...by the stairs.
Bit concerned about people pushing passed the car, but no problems.

40mph across the water, very quick and they stopped the off loading traffic to let
me off third.

No grounding problems on the Cerbera and all in all a very good service.

Sounds good!

I Wonder who'll get priority on the 'Supercar Express' on June 15th?
