Stickering up for 2016
Discussion
you can get a felt covered squeegee from amazon for a coupe of quid for applying the stickers and getting bubbles out to prevent scratching the paint.. i too plan to use the wet method: spray water bottle with a drop of car shampoo in it.. some sites recommend a drop of washing up liquid but i think that has salt in it so could be abrasive?
I've a recent repair on one panel so will take my time removing the stickers: hot water or hairdryer (she won't mind ) to soften the adhesive and take it very slow.. i'm detailing mine next week and will build up several layers of wax before application, there seems to be some for and some against this approach (a reaction of adhesive with the wax), i'll take my chances hopefully the stickers won't slide off the back of the the car before i get to folkestone..

I have got some stickers from stickeredup4lemans as they seem a popular choice on here. Has anyone had any issues/damage removing them, to be put on to a Gallardo and DB9 so fairly nervous. Also whats the best way to prep the cars before putting them on? Thanks.
These stickers come off great, as said if you are nervous wax the car first.Last time I fully stickered the car I had about 6 layers of wax on it and the stickers didnt stick at first. After a while they where fine but with the heat of sitting in the sun at the track when I took them off you could see marks as the rest of the paint was really dull as the sun got the car dam hot. This was a white car so this year I am stickering up (already arrived) I have a grey car it will be fun!

Mixed excited and nervous about a 900 mile journey in a beach buggy with no windscreen. Praying the weather is appropriate (not too hot, not too cold...)
Make sure you take a bucket Many years ago I remember Caterham owners bailing water from their cars at various intervals along the route. It's all part of the fun. Some Gump said:
That looks really good. Having done similar, I'm impressed not only by the end results, but what you've managed to do with 1 colour and no printing. Bet putting the long stripe on was a reet bugger in the wind!
I bailed out and got these guys who are pretty close to the Castle Bromwich Jag factory to do it http://www.nocturnalonline.co.uk/Picking it up tomorrow. I imagine it'll turn a few heads a the Coventry Motofest next Saturday

Drain holes already fabricated. 😆 the rain isn't too bad. It's the screen wash shooters and the enduring pine scent due to no windscreen that is most challenging...tjdixon911 said:
That looks awesome, one of these is on my list to own someday...
