It looks like either Eurosport or the FIA have been closing down these YouTube channels as fast as they pop up.

I can't understand this. There must be a big audience for YouTube viewing, so why can't they sell this on to their advertisers as a bigger target? I don't suppose everybody has access to Eurosport, even on their sets at home, and many people must be out and about but want to keep up.

I've been watching the same YT stream for hours now and there are plenty to go round. Some in French!

Can't believe what I'm watching now, #1 out. Sounded sick as a dog so the engine is probably toast. Apparently that's the third engine that car is on so clearly all not well with the Porsche ICE. Twitchy bum time for #2 as they've already had a major problem.

Thing is though...sometimes running round a bit more gently doesn't work out.

Eurosport isnt a free channel, so they want to make sure people pay to watch it, that's as simple as that...

That being said, Eurosport player has been worth it so far!

They made a good point on Eurosport.

Is this the end of LMP1.

Every year big manufacturers spend hundreds of millions of Euros (so about £500K sterling wink ) just to be humiliated when their car doesn't reach the finish. Whereas the GT cars as a rule tend to run alright. Certainly more GT cars make the finish than LMP1.

LMP2 is also reliable, but I can't see that becoming the new premier classin the future either.

My "wish" would be for race versions of hypercars. So P1, LaF, 918 etc. In a similar way to 911GT1 and CLKGTR. Better link to road cars. And possibly lower costs

It's available on Quest too, which is on both satellite and freeview. Plus ITV4 are also showing it.

Im too tired can someone do the maths if Hartley continues to take about ten seconds per lp out of the leader when he's 7 minutes ahead? Can he catch him with 3 hours left?

Wow! From all the adverts, and the length of time they go on, I assumed it was a Free view channel. So everybody is in the same boat as me then, paying to watch adverts all the bloody time. The coverage is great visually, but the producer hasn't got a clue and keeps cutting away from crucial moments to show sweaty mechanic sleeping in chairs.

I agree, we are witnessing the end of LMP1..

Toyotas management can hardly sign off another attempt. Porsche won't race if there's no competition. No one else will join a series with no one else in it.

Possibly a charge to the regs I would say. If they are pushing the limits too much then more reasonable expectations might be in order.
