Wow! From all the adverts, and the length of time they go on, I assumed it was a Free view channel. So everybody is in the same boat as me then, paying to watch adverts all the bloody time. The coverage is great visually, but the producer hasn't got a clue and keeps cutting away from crucial moments to show sweaty mechanic sleeping in chairs.
Not Eurosport's fault - they take the world feed which has it's own director. The only content they supply is the pit lane interviews.

I think it's very clear the diesels were supremely reliable v these Hybrids.

Surprising that the longest supplier of customer hybrids is not so reliable on the track. In fact a very late arrival to the customer market being Porsche vastly more reliable.

Is this the end of LMP1.
Its a farce really, they sped up lmp2, now they are faster on the straights.

The class is set up to promote manufacturers and hybrid tech and many have boasted in the past about how good the tech is, yet we have 100% failure rate across the only two manufacturers left, who aren't direct competitors commercially. And the hybrid system can't even run the car at little more than running pace for a lap... great advert for the manufacturer.

Proposals for 2020 increase reliance on hybrid systems, there was a guy on RLM last night laying in to the proposals saying that they hadn't been thought about, will increase costs and are basically stupid - he had a point.

Porsche rumoured to be on their way out, some say Peugeot are going to join.

Meanwhile the privateer LMP1 thing is growing - Ginetta and others with cars in build, allegedly with waiting customers.

My guess is that LMP1 will end up like LMP2, private teams racing purchased chassis.

Thanks to the poster above, I've changed over to ITV4 HD to avoid seeing the same adverts!

Watch the live feed (no ads and no commentary) and radio le mans for the commentary.

Not yet read the other posts here, but just wanted to vent that with <30 mins to go, the Eurosport channel is utter s**t.
And the ad breaks are far too frequent.
So frustrating. Watching some mid field LMP2 car in the pits while the GT Pro battle is full on.

As they said the problem is the French TV director. Numerous shots of the crowd and people in the pits and few of the actual race. I don't think the adverts are the real problem.

Same reason Audi did I guess - the staggering cost.

Plus only one competitor now isn't the most appealing presumably.
