This weekend and the start of the week look wet, then it looks dry for the race itself. That must be a good thing as a wet track would surely suit the AWD Toyota over the rest of the RWD LMP1s.

Accuweather is painting a slightly better picture than Gav, but not as good as The Cat

Mid 20s is just right, especially if it isn't actually sunny - last year was a bit too warm...

That said, I'd sooner suffer 2017's sun than 2016's rain

The heat last year was dangerous, we got through litres of water and barely and beer. Despite the usual suntan lotion, hats, shade the Hubbie still felt very unwell

We drank plenty of beer which cost a fortune at 10 Euros a glass. We drove topless there and back and despite plenty of sun cream my hands were pretty frazzled by the time I got home.

Don't know about that. Frankly, if it's dry heat, I'd have been happy with another few degrees but so be it. All hail the cat, more accurate and earlier than the so-called "real" forecasts.

I tried to hydrate with several bottles of Red Wine, that didn't work very well frown

If this forecast turns out to be in any way accurate I'll be happy. Just a little too scorchio last year for my pale skin

Currently a biblical thunderstorm over Le Mans......streams running in the streets, bring yer wellies...........and yet it dries out in the city centre as quickly as it fell......camp sites might be different.

Yes what a storm!! Several large trees down! Awning torn off caravan. 2 foot deep water everywhere and no power for 6 hours!! Winds were biblical too.

Most forecasts are looking dry (and calm for the gazebos). Still a couple showing rain on Sunday but overall the cat has nailed it. Bring it.

All hail the cat. And fingers crossed it's nailed it!

Rain or shine, as long as the tents are up in the dry and there's plenty of opportunities for re-hydration then we'll be fine!

Had monsoon to drive back in last year.

I'm not up to speed with the weather forecasting cat.

Anyone got a short explanation please...?
