Mobile roaming charges — some good news for Le Mans visitors

Making calls, sending texts and using the internet will cost the same in any country of the EU starting from 15 June! Perfect timing...

Ok from 15 June but most of us will be down there before 15th June

We're traveling on the morning of the 15th, so it works out perfectly for our little group.
But even if you're going earlier, you'll still get the Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday at the better rates. Which isn't bad.

Ah ha, good news. I wonder if O2 will sort it out in time or if I should keep the o2 travel £2/day thing going just in case...

Just checked on vodaphone site and it appears they have already got rid of roaming charges in europe, they just could not be bothered to tell anyone

Yeah, I've just swapped to Vodafone, that was one of my reasons for swapping. Giffgaff don't do roaming unless it's pre-paid, i got sick of just buying a roaming sim for Le Mans.

I got a message from Vodafone saying that all uk contract minutes, texts and data can be used in most of europe at no extra charge from 11th June. Perfect for me as leaving that evening
