French Police tend not to, or appear not, speak English but the Belgians are another matter, they all seem to speak English and do check all Docs thoroughly

I've never once been stopped by Belgian plod whilst in France always take mine,and leave in car, easier than running around to get 'em, at least in UK you can nominate Station.
