Just as a comparison with Travel Destinations, Houx in 2017 was around £600 based on 2 sharing, travel via Eurotunnel.
£300 against £359?
I thought the difference was quite a bit more for some reason.
Obviously quite a bit more than doing it direct which is about £150pp
Now home just checked my figures and for clarity the direct price (non member) is £182pp£300 against £359?

Tickets 2x£75
Most expensive site Houx £92
Tunnel £122
£364/2=£182pp
ACO member works out at £311/155pp. Worthwhile if 4 of you of you will use the other benefits.

Taking the 2350 tunnel wed? Early travel charge ££
Want to take a roofbox? High roof charge ££
Travel agents and ticket agency’s get blocks on the ferry. Their pricing will be low to make money on the ferry too. However as those tickets will be based on a car, you may well turn up on the day with a Range Rover and roof box. Thus meaning you need to go on a different tariff. A Ford mondeo with a roof box will remain in the same tariff with a roof box or not. The ticket agency just want to limit your issues at the port. Want to take a roofbox? High roof charge ££
Early booking again they may have slots. Your choice is not in their normal reduced rate ticket allocation.
High vehicles pay more on all crossings even when booked direct. My Audi had a roof box on low profile bars just came in under the limit. (Forget what it was) take the Range Rover and it’s still low until something goes on the roof or the caravan is on the back. If we tow a low trailer the cost is much lower. High vehicles have set decks. There are more places for cars that are only used on full crossings.
Remember both the Audi and Range Rover go as cars put a roof box on the Audi your still low enough. Roofbox on the Range Rover and your not.
Channel tunnel Range Rover and roofbox will not fit on normal carriages.
