Have always preferred proper tickets even with the £25 delivery charge. Have succumbed to an E-ticket this time around.

I do note quite often these things state they must be printed on a laserjet printer, in A4 etc etc.

What are peoples experiences making a cut down credit card size pass which just shows the barcode? Would be much easier to use.

Thinking of doing that and maybe keeping an A4 copy with my other documents just in case anyone wants to be particular.

I wouldn't even print it off these days - just download it to my phone and zoom in on the bar code when they want to scan it..

Maybe for something as big as Le Mans I would print it if I had remembered beforehand

I’ve done this since the introduction of e-tickets for LM.

I cut the tickets down a bit, so not quite to just the barcode, which also helps make it easy to tell general entry and grandstands apart.

I also laminate them to make them hardwearing and waterproof. Pop and hole in them and hang them from a lanyard like a ticket holder.

I expected there may be questions and shrugs from gate staff but no one cared. As long as they are okay on the machines, no issues. I do also take full print out copies in the car just in case though or a ticket gets damaged or lost.

Last year we just folded them so the barcode was still visible and put them in the usual plastic sleeve with lanyard. As long as the paper is thick enough so the other print doesn't show through from behind they're fine.

I folded mine up to fit in a lanyard case you don't have to have the full A4 sheet visible. But reiterating the point about having easily differentiated GE and grandstand tickets reminds me I once got about five metres past the scanner girl at the entrance on the way out before she called me back; I had presented the grandstand ticket!
