Hey there, i'm new to Pistonheads,

A couple of friends and I, are planing going to the Jamirouquai concert, on the Friday night.
I was then thinking of staying the weekend for the 24 h.
Can anyone give me any recommendations of a campsite prefurably near the MMArena.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I understand Premier Vert is right next to the MM Arena - 1st Tickets is the agent (PH member Chum Racing aka Brian) & they partner with PH. 1st Tickets are IMO great....I've used them for the 5 years I've been going, albeit I'm with them /PH at Bleu Nord. I suggest you give Brian a call directly & he also has other camp site options if you've more of a budget to work to.

Interesting post. Naively it never occurred to me that someone would travel to Le Mans just for the concert. Because the town is not busy enough with a motor race...

Nice one ACO.

Seems very optimistic to me to expect many to pay what they're asking when there's so much else going on at the time, maybe he's much more popular in France than I've realised?

Garage Vert is very close, I know Paul at Just Tickets in Dover still has some availability as I had to get a couple more last week

Teamlangoustine are the closest to the arena. They are across one access road to the area carparks. Brilliant site fantastic facilities .

Lots of thanks for all your responses.

But especially big thanks to the guys over at Team Langoustine.

They were very helpful and offered me and my group a pitch, minus the car to save us a bit of money.

Probably just JK's way of blagging a free race, he'll be up on the roof afterwards watching through binoculars....

I think there are still supposed to be concerts in the circuit but ACO seem slow announcing anything this year. Makes me wonder if the JK ticket sales are slow and hence the hold back.

My thoughts are that they may have made an error in this JK concert, many people go to Le Mans with a budget and the free concert is an added welcome, trying to fill an arena at €50+ per ticket may be a tall order. Now you can buy a general entry and JK ticket combined with a 15% discount, probably shows how badly the sales are going, but many people by a package with general entry already purchased so cannot benefit even if they wanted to.

Be interesting to see what happens. I saw JK at the free Audi gig some years ago and personally wouldn’t combine Le Mans with paying to see him or anybody else really, unless it was something really special

I don't suppose you will hear the JK gig being so close to the Team Langoustine friday night Pink Floyd fest.
I expect JK to be loitering at the site entrance trying to blag a wristband.

I guess we'll be skipping the Drivers Parade and our tour of local hostelries then...The Trams are rammed enough now just getting back to the track from town, never mind with 50k going to see JK...

I'm sure our party will be one of many...The Bars and Eateries in town are going to be happy eh?

If you're heading to town, you'll be going in the opposite direction to everyone going to Jamiroquai, and the same later when you come home again.
