LM24 Camping Options - PV vs BN etc
Discussion
Anyone have any core differences between the Premier Vert and Blue Nord sites?
I stayed in PV with PH back in 2016, it was excellent, but reading around it seems like BN maybe just as good if a little busier, but still has the bar/showers/brekky+dinner ?
Frankly there's not enough room in any of our cars to take cooking equipment, and the Tesla driver will want to stay as light as possible else it's 0-60 party trick will be mute.
The upfront sticker price of these seems expensive until you start to look at alternate options (that don't include any food, eurotunnel, etc). Team Langoustine option seems decent, but add eurotunnel it's around £400pp in a 2 person car, plus any food.

We always stay on the BN site. It is further to walk but you have your car next to your tent. Foot/Toilets/Showers are all excellent as is the atmosphere.I stayed in PV with PH back in 2016, it was excellent, but reading around it seems like BN maybe just as good if a little busier, but still has the bar/showers/brekky+dinner ?

Op. If you are looking at public sites, then I would recommend BN. Allocated pitches 5 mins walk from the main entrance.
The TL site and public sites are chalk and cheese.
Unfortunately you pay per vehicle on all sites, so two in a car in the private sites will always work out expensive. There are options, so if you are considering private, give Andy a call at TL.

I've done the PH BN secure site for a number of years and whilst a shorter walk to the circuit is appealing with PV, its the fact we can park our cars right by the pitches on BN (we take the pre-erected tent option) that appeals to us & I'm a creature of habit now! The main PH site has never failed to deliver yet for us & I'm heading back for my 6th year with them which I guess says it all.
Stayed at BN with PH last year - most of facilities the same. Main difference is parking on pitch at Bleu Nord better if taking own tents (small etc) and the BN site had a bit of breeze coming over from airfield. BN busier in marquee etc. And a bit more noise at times from public sites next door.
Think PV has more people staying in pre-erected tents and two separate secure tarmac carparks, one AMOC I think.
BN 4 or 5 mins to circuit entrance by big wheel/Porsche experience centre and another 5 mins to start finish straight grandstands and village.
PV close to public banking by foot tunnel, but seemed a bit of hike away from main start finish area - but better if get tickets at Dunlop bridge end tribunes.

ahh didn’t realise they did the pre-erected at BN too. does it come with all the same gear? I seem to remember a tent/sleeping bag/mattress/lamp etc.
Seems like a pretty decent option esp if you can get fed and it all be a few hundred cheaper than PV.
Yep, airbed and table/chairs included in the camping option at PH BN & we use the chairs whilst we are out and about watching the race. Seems like a pretty decent option esp if you can get fed and it all be a few hundred cheaper than PV.
I'm currently just travelling with one friend & you'd be more than welcome to join us on some of the "travels" whilst we are there & there's a lot of regulars to chat with - if you're "glamping" at PH BN there's normally fewer pre-erected tents as well which makes it easier to identify those from the forum who are there if they are doing it the easy way (which in my case allows me to take the car I'd like to LM24 rather than need i.e. sod the comfort )
