I used to organize a group from the TL site on a friday morning.
We stopped as the ACO started posting guards at the bottom of the start/finish straight to prevent us running past the pits.

If you get that far, it's a pig of a detour to bypass it!

Sounds like it might just have to be an unofficial 'see how far you can get before being arrested' run then frown

You’ll be fine on the Friday afternoon, the whole track is open

I did it last year from about 3pm - track opening took ages - but managed to run a full lap and the lads hired bikes to join me - looks like the same again this year - track in use am, but then opens in the afternoon - they had the trophey on the approach to the dunlop bridge, and it got very busy at Arnage - that said, palnning to do again this year.

Anyone on the PH 1st Tickets Blue North site doing a (slow)track run Friday afternoon?

Morning Sturminator911,
I'll be in 1st Tickets Blue North and fancy running the track. I run most mornings but have never run the track. Would have preferred early morning but if it was about midday I could hold off the beer till after lunch :P. Happy to meet up

I run about 5km splits but chances are I'll be hung over and will be a little slower.

Cheers

Track run would be awesome. Maybe I’ll find a local bike for my son so that he can bike alongside.

Did anything get arranged for this? I know it was tricky with the new schedule.

Nothing official - think it’s every man for himself.

I’m unlikely to be able to do it - had my last run two weeks ago and did something that seems to have morphed into suspected sciatica and am on naxoprene at the moment.

Even walking any distance leaves me in discomfort frown

I’ll take my stuff just in case but I’d say I’m no more than 10% to even try a lap.

Jumping on this thread as I'll be going to the classic at le mans. Never thought about running the track. I'll be staying in the PH area as well.

Any strava links or gpx files would be great.

Happy running on Friday for those that make it out on track.

The TL run was great fun - did it a few times.
Will be taking my kit and hope for a trot round if not too full of lunch. Hopefully see a few of you out there - if warm I'll be wearing my Badgers club vest.

I did it too in the end - started at Tetre Rouge corner and was in bits by the 2nd chicane on the Mulsanne - my sciatica gave me pain like I’ve never felt before but I carried on and got as far as Porsche Curves before I had to walk for a bit. Carried on running/trudging before being kicked off the track by the Ford Chicane as they were doing the Legends presentation, so had to run through the Village and back to Tetre Rouge Corner.

Was about 90 minutes but hadalready walked over 10k on way to and at the GBW and was in a lot of discomfort so don’t think I did too bad.

Le Mans? Completed it mate wink

b...r the running, I walked the place from thursday at 3 to sunday about 7, that was enough for me, should of strava,d it all, had no energy to run across the track once those auld gates finally opened after the race, still got a prime spot up against the perspex screen.
ps also walked up to the circuit after the drivers parade on friday, which was actually quite enjoyable
pps any wonder i,m still knackered

I did it too, after lunch and a couple of pints at Arnage!! managed a 1:19 but was doing lots of walking, agree it was too hot and humid this year. Lats year was easier, and the Mulsanne just gets harder, it never ends!

I walked it. Took about two and a half hours and I got rained on between Mulsanne corner and Indianapolis/Arnage. What a great experience.

Anyone looking to run the course either tomorrow or Friday? I'll be staying at the PH campsite.
