Agreed, my first Le Mans was in 2008, and we camped on BN. Staying the Sunday night was an awful experience, never to be repeated.

This is partly why we leave on Sunday night. I’ve often found that a strange atmosphere descends on the place the evening after the race and some people’s behaviour regresses to Neanderthal levels.
Its like this at a lot of music festivals too. The 'event' is over - lets trash the place. Bizarre.

Another reason not to risk public camping - sounds like the dheads have moved from bsj to bn...

In fairness, this was only an issue on Sunday evening. The rest of the time I found BN to be a highly agreeable place to camp.

That explosion was a gas canister being thrown on a fire late Sunday night. Was in my tent just adjacent, actually thought it was a bomb. Total tools...
I was referring to this incident on Sunday, which must mean there was a separate early incident/fire as the OP posted on Friday.

This is why sites like Team Langoustine, Speed Chills are better. More controlled and less stupid stuff.

Everyone was well behaved on TL this year, you won't ever get donuts and wheel spinning on that site.

But there was a right rowdy lot near the Main gate letting of Bangers biggrin
I have Video Evidence! hehe

I was working for SC this year and have done a few times previously over a 9 year period. I was quite surprised at how much rubbish people left this year, felt a hell of a lot compared to previous years. The several 5l bottles of piss left behind was a nice parting gift spin

But in comparison some of the public campers are pure animals.

It's no excuse but there was a corresponding lack of bins this year - just one set of the big (normally broken) ones by the bogs and showers.

Not sure who that could have been Mark. If I find out, then there will be a red card in the post! smile

Maybe you could issue a few to the 'guests' who get confused between the different functions of showers and WC's. That's not to detract from what was a fun site again this year, top work!

Yeah - mentioned this in the Mad Friday thread.

A complete tool in a MK2 Escort and an equally tttish M4 owner nearly wiping out parked cars and kids.

Given the amount of smoke that fire generated and the closeness to the airport, I'm surprised the authorities didn't descend with greater vigour. Had it been lit during the day, they would have had to stop the race.

Utter berks.
Is this the MK2 Escort you're on about https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7vBKRpP_u4
