How many laps has the leading car done so far ?

Also for he same time as last year have they gone further or less distance ie all up slower LMP1 Hybrid or faster or the same?

292 laps as I type this, but no idea how that compares to last year.

Still hoping for a double failure for the Toyotas, but it’s looking unlikely.

Morning all. I flaked around 1.30am and have just woken now.

Thanks for the summaries. Sounds like Alonso is proving his worth

It really isn't Toyota's fault that nobody else turned up.

To wish them to fail is rather churlish. Especially given their history at Le Mans. They've earned this

took a couple of hours off yesterday afternoon to play tennis, but other than that have been on the sofa watching with my 10yr old son all night (well he's mainly been snoozing but...) - just had my "father's day" freshly cooked waffles & bacon delivered smile

Currently I think "dollarShaveClub" is 1st and "vanorama" is a close 2nd - nope sorry that's just EuroSport's utterly dire adverts & 'no-rotation' policy taking it's affect frown

Good race, enjoying more emphasis on GT classes given the lack of LMP1 'big boys'

But best of all is the Rebellion TVRs looking utterly awesome and in 3rd & 4th ! smile

Agreed.

Especially after what happened to them a few ago. They’ve been doing this a while, they deserve it.

Impressive that Rebellion is back up to 4th after binning the nose off it at the first corner

Tell me about it! You'd think they would have a bit of variety.

In fairness, it was a number of hour before Vanorama came in, but even so the variety is nonexistent

The virtue-signalling DHL sat-phone runway advert is a piss boiler. I reckon that vital aeroplane was actually delivering vital bog rolls to a bunch of penguin fanciers.

Everyone else enjoying this display of high speed French road repairs? Lol at the guy setting the new tarmac/concrete with a leaf blower!

Don't forget the Coral ad, the one that was mildly amusing the first time but 678 repetitions later begins to grate...

The posters wishing failure upon Toyota: why? Do you think it's somehow Toyota's own doing that the rules favour hybrids, and/or that the other manufacturer teams who previously ran hybrid LMP1s decided against entering this year?

Just remember the adds make the full showing of the race possible! So thank them!

Quite. I don't understand why any Marketing Department would think that repeating your advert until people were sick of it would be a good idea.

I have no problem with this and never said that I did. I just think a bit more variety / rotation wouldn't go amiss

The Toyotas are doing notably quicker average lap times than they did last year in basically the same car

Yes of course, but I am sure that they have gone for the deal that brings the most revenue. Its annoying I know.

I think its more to do with the death of diesel, but yes cost is crazy. New rules are out for 2020 I think based on 25% the cost of now.

Fingers crossed.
